Arista Nashville’s Cam Covers “Uptown Funk” in a Spotify Exclusive Captured Live at SXSW

image

Vibrant new Arista Nashville singer/songwriter Cam may be a country artist, but that doesn’t mean she can’t serve up a little “Uptown Funk” as she covers the Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars blockbuster in a version heard exclusively on Spotify.  The “My Mistake” songstress recorded it live as part of her performance at the Spotify House earlier this year at SXSW.  You can hear it at http://smarturl.it/spotifycoverscam.

Indie icon Pete Francis of Dispatch returns with a variety of fresh creative endeavors including new band, Dragon Crest Collective

image

Not many artists can claim to have sold-out Madison Square Gardens three nights in a row, held a farewell outdoor concert that attracted over 110,000 fans from 25 countries, making it the largest independent music event in history (outdrawing Phish’s swan song by 50,000 and the multi-band fest Bonnaroo by almost 20,000), but not many are Pete Francis. As one third of the visionary indie band, Dispatch, he inspired legions of fans with an aesthetic that was as accessible and inviting as it was artistically uncompromising. Now, he embarks on a new era of inspired creativity with a multitude of new projects, including an invigorating hip-hop flavored band, Dragon Crest Collective, whose debut, Volume 1, drops June 23; a vibey studio open to the public; and through offering his own unique production services to recording artists.

STOLEN  ** STOLEN ** STOLEN

image

What would you do if someone STOLE your most valuable possessions?

Zane Williams wrote them a song and shared it on social media!

Country music singer/songwriter Zane Williams and his band fell prey to a random act of “unkindness” this weekend when they stopped for lunch just outside of Houston, TX.  The musicians’ van and the trailer full of equipment and instruments were stolen from the parking lot of the restaurant where they had stopped for a bite to eat.   In true Zane Williams fashion, the prolific songwriter penned a tune speaking directly to the thieves and posted his calm, yet stern, acoustic delivery on his social media pages.  We have been informed that the trailer has been located and recovered, but the van containing some heirloom instruments remains stolen.

You can see and hear Zane’s performance here:  https://youtu.be/2DicXacaBtI

Please help us support Zane and the band by sharing this release.
