Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley celebrated his 16th career #1 as an artist and 13th #1 as a songwriter behind “Black” with industry friends and media alike, as they were treated to a chic party by performing rights organizations ASCAP and BMI hosted yesterday (6/22) at Nashville’s new restaurant Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway. Serving as the third consecutive chart topper off Bentley’s critically acclaimed album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), the Gold-certified single and most personal song to date for Bentley was co-written alongside ASCAP songwriter Ashley Gorley, who celebrated his 33rd #1 song, and BMI songwriter Ross Copperman, who celebrated his 16th, and was produced by Copperman along with Arturo Buenahora. Both Copperman and Gorley were named Country Music Songwriter of the Year by their respective PROs in 2016.

Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley played a special role in reuniting one local military family during his 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR stop in Fresno, CA, on Saturday (4/29). During a meet & greet with Sgt. Steven Mendez’ family backstage before the concert, Bentley helped Mendez surprise his two sons after being overseas for nearly a year. Following the emotional reunion, the “consummate entertainer” (The Boot) invited the family on stage during his performance of “Home,” where the capacity crowd’s “U-S-A” chants lifted the show even higher.
Performance rights organizations ASCAP, BMI and SESAC hosted a #1 party on Wed., July 20th at South in Nashville to celebrate Dierks Bentley’s 14th #1 song, “Somewhere on a Beach,” which dominated the top spot on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts for two consecutive weeks. A packed-to-capacity crowd turned out to congratulate four first-time #1 songwriters, ASCAP’s Dave Kuncio and Josh Mirenda, BMI’s Alexander Palmer, and SESAC’s Michael Tyler, as well as SESAC writer Jaron Boyer, who was honored for his second chart-topper. Over the course of the event’s history, Bentley has raised more than $3 million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the country. This year, he will be joined by an all-star concert lineup including Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, The Cadillac Three, Canaan Smith, Brooke Eden and emcee Storme Warren.
The Academy of Country Music announced today that 2015 leading male ACM Award nominee Dierks Bentley will host the ACM Charity Motorcycle Ride & Concert on Saturday, April 18. The ride will begin at two dealerships including Strokers Dallas in Dallas, Texas and Longhorn Harley-Davidson in Grand Prairie, Texas with performances at each location. Riders will end their journey at Maverick Harley-Davidson in Carrollton, Texas with a concert featuring full throttle performances by country music’s top artists.
