Brantley Gilbert Hosts Trail Ride For ACM Lifting Lives Covid-19 Response Fund

HUNTSVILLE, TN (March 25, 2020) – In his 15-year career, Brantley Gilbert has always made a point to celebrate and uplift those that deserve additional recognition and support: servicemen and servicewomen; veterans and veteran farmers; and his fans, BG Nation, made up of blue-collar and hard-working individuals. With the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in difficult times for those in the entertainment industry, the Georgia-native decided to get creative with a way to reconnect with his fans while providing relief to those now out of work.

On Saturday, April 17, the multi-Platinum country artist will host 500 fans on three separate trail rides at Brimstone® Recreation in Huntsville, Tenn., followed by a live show presented by Whiskey Jam. Entry tickets are available for $50 per person and all proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of The Academy of Country Music, going directly to their COVID-19 Response Fund. Tickets are available HERE.  Entry tickets do not include the $28 Brimstone® Recreation trail pass required to participate. They can be purchased HERE.

“I wanted to come up with a way to give back during this difficult time in our industry, and I also wanted to give folks something safe and fun to look forward to,” shares Gilbert. “All my fans know I’m a bit of an enthusiast when it comes to cars, bikes and off-road vehicles, so a trail ride in the great outdoors is the perfect adventure.

“I’m so grateful for our partners who have come aboard to help us make this a meaningful event for ACM Lifting Lives,” he continues. “They’ve done so much since the start of this pandemic, and we wanted to help them support even more folks until we can all get back on the road.”

“Brantley has been such a wonderful partner to our fund,” shares Lyndsay Cruz, Executive Director of ACM Lifting Lives. “He and his team came to us at an important moment to lend their help finding ways to raise money for our colleagues who are still in immediate financial need due to the pandemic. We are grateful to be the beneficiaries of his inaugural trail ride.”

A longtime partner of the “Hard Days” singer and songwriter, Polaris is supporting Gilbert’s event, providing swag bags to the first 130 ticket buyers, along with a RZR Trail S 1000 Ultimate that will be available for auction, while Camping World will donate an off-road vehicle trailer for auction. Additional partners include Gander Outdoors, Traeger Grills, Whiskey Jam and Appalachia Made Co. Items for auction will be available for bids later this spring on Prizeo.

As the largest RV dealer in the United States, Camping World utilizes its platform to assist many great causes. “We’re so thrilled to be able to participate in this incredible event providing relief to those in the entertainment industry who have lost work due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” shares SVP of Camping World Earl Williams. “We look forward to seeing Brantley’s fans on April 17.”

Since the original launch of the Fund, $3.5 million was raised and distributed thanks to many sponsors and individuals. Funds were quickly dispersed to hundreds of people in the Country music community in need and who met the criteria.

Gilbert released Fire & Brimstone (Deluxe Edition) via The Valory Music Co. nearly one year after the release of his fifth studio album, featuring two new songs, including latest single “Hard Days,” currently making its way up the charts, and “Old Friends,” a somber, reflective ballad written after the passing of Gilbert’s longtime friend and crewmember Al Ditch.

Fire & Brimstone explores love and family, redemption and life in a small town, with all 15 tracks written or co-written by Gilbert. Lead single “What Happens In A Small Town” featuring Lindsay Ell marked his fifth No. 1 as an artist, seventh No. 1 as a songwriter and earned nominations for the 2019 CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year and 2020 ACM Award for Music Event of the Year.

The “Brantley Gilbert Selects” quarterly subscription box is available now, featuring hand-picked and custom limited-edition items that reflect the singer-songwriter’s hard-working yet fun-loving mindset, starting at $59.99 HERE.

About Brantley Gilbert
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York TimesNPRAmerican Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. His current single “Hard Days” is available everywhere now and featured on the newly released FIRE & BRIMSTONE (DELUXE EDITION). NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Platinum-selling recording artist Brantley Gilbert celebrated the release of his fifth studio album Fire & Brimstone, via The Valory Music Co., with a packed week of activity including stops at the iHeart Theater in New York for an intimate “iHeartCountry Album Release Party” with his fans, a fiery performance on Fox & Friends and headlined the Tootsies’ 59th Anniversary Birthday Bash in Music City.

He shows no signs of slowing down as he gears up for a Monday Night Football appearance Oct. 14, performing at Lambeau Field at the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game that will air on ESPN during the Genesis-sponsored halftime show.

Hailed by NPR for performances that “pack a punch,” Gilbert gave Nashville a taste of Fire & Brimstone as he headlined Tootsies’ 59th Anniversary Birthday Bash on Oct. 9, opening with fan favorites “Kick It in the Sticks” and “Country Must Be Country Wide,” before peppering in new tracks “Fire’t Up” and “Bad Boy.”

The rowdy Broadway crowd was delighted as Gilbert introduced Lindsay Ell to perform current Top 10 and climbing single, “What Happens in a Small Town.”

Before performing “One Hell Of An Amen,” Gilbert dedicated it to veterans, service men and women and their families, as well as those fighting cancer: “Whether you’re a patient, a doctor or a nurse, a friend or a family member, we all like to think we go through it together.”

Earlier this week, Gilbert treated fans to an intimate performance and Q&A at the iHeartRadio Theater NY on Oct. 7 and followed it up with an explosive morning show appearance on Fox & Friends Oct. 8, performing lead track “Fire’t Up” from Fire & Brimstone.

Next month Gilbert will embark on his Second Annual Kick It in The Ship cruise Nov. 4-Nov. 8, before kicking off his Fire’t Up Tour 2020 Jan. 23, in London, Ontario. For dates and to purchase tickets, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

Highly anticipated Fire & Brimstone, out now (10/4/19) via The Valory Music Co., is Gilbert’s most mature and complex exploration of his world to date. Following this fall’s Not Like Us Tour and his Second Annual Kick It in The Ship cruise, Gilbert embarks on his Fire’t Up Tour 2020 on January 23 in London, Canada with special guests Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and Brandon Lay.

Brantley Gilbert Partners With Pedigree & DAV For Veterans Initiative

Courtesy of the Valory Music Co.

Brantley Gilbert’s commitment to America’s service members has always been a driving force in a career that’s seen him play for the people instead of the music industry. Whether hitting No. 1 with the powerful “One Hell of an Amen” (The Valory Music Co.) to honor a fallen soldier and his friend who was there, or taking a string of motorcycles from his home in Georgia to Arlington National Cemetery to honor the men and women who’ve served our nation, the songwriter powerhouse has sought to give back and say thank you. For Gilbert, it wasn’t enough.

After multiple conversations on how to help servicemen and women returning home, coping with the challenges of the transition back to civilian life, he reached out to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) with the idea of pairing veterans in need with companion dogs to help normalize their re-acclimation. On Saturday,  February 3 Gilbert’s notion will become a reality. Jason Hassinger, 29, of Philadelphia, will travel to Albany, New York, to meet his new best friend.

“There is nothing like the loyalty, love and companionship of a dog,” says Gilbert. “For some people, a dog can connect unlike even a best friend and for those who gave beyond the call of duty to our nation,  I love the idea of matching them up with a trained companion dog to help them get their lives to a better place.”

Hassinger, who served from November 2006 until September 2011, saw three tours of combat as a Marine Infantryman overseas. He has received multiple awards, including the Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with three (3) Bronze Service Stars, Iraq Campaign Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, Presidential Citation-Navy Global War on Terrorism Medal and the, NATO Medal-International Security Assistance Force Afghanistan among many awards. Now a professional veterans benefits advocate for DAV, he helps other veterans access the benefits they have earned.

“’One Hell of an Amen’ makes me think very much of my times in the Marines,” Hassinger says. “More importantly than my service to this great nation, this song reminds me of all of our other brothers we lost over the course of my three deployments overseas. In one of his many interviews, Gilbert mentions he has late night phone calls where he talks with military vets who are battling demons. I, like Gilbert, have had late night phone calls with friends to lend a listening ear when they need it most. Both of us like providing service to others.”

Hassinger will be the first of eight Veterans who will receive a companion dog from Gilbert during his THE ONES THAT LIKE ME TOUR. The companion dogs are being recruited by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The PEDIGREE® Brand will cover the cost for all dog training and will provide a one-year supply of food to each of the eight dogs.

On Saturday afternoon the Country Music Association Song of the Year nominee for “Dirt Road Anthem” will introduce Hassinger to Charlie, a 3-to-4 year old Hound mix in Albany, NY. Hassinger will be Gilbert’s guest for the third show of his THE ONES THAT LIKE ME TOUR, before leaving with his new companion.

“In many ways, we’re taking a rescue animal and rescuing a returning hero,” Gilbert says.

“These dogs and people are all heroes, I am blessed the PEDIGREE® Brand is willing to help us get the dogs trained, certified and fed for that first year. The positive impact a companion dog can make is immeasurable, and I am humbled to be able to do this.”

“When we heard about what Brantley Gilbert wanted to do on his The Ones That Like Me Tour to honor veterans, we knew we had to help,” said Elizabeth Barrett, PEDIGREE® Brand Manager, Mars Petcare. “Gilbert has distinguished himself as an artist who goes to great lengths to give back to America’s Armed Forces and his efforts to provide companion dogs to veterans during this tour align perfectly with the PEDIGREE Brand’s Feed the Good campaign which is based on the insight that dogs and humans benefit each other. Knowing that the PEDIGREE® brand can play a part in finding loving homes for these dogs while giving back to those who have served our country is an incredible honor.”

Gilbert will be presenting a veteran with a companion dog every weekend of this spring’s The Ones That Like Me Tour. For him, giving healing to the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force members who represented our nation is the greatest gift his music has provided. Look for more stories, moments and; dogs over the coming months.

“We couldn’t have done this without the support of the PEDIGREE® Brand,” he explains. “They recognize the powerful difference a dog can make on someone’s life, and they stepped up and stepped in. This is going to make a lot of lives happier, lighter and renewed. If that’s not something we can be proud of, what is? Thanks, PEDIGREE®.”

Brantley Gilbert Debuts “FANDOM: FULLY COMMITTED” Today

Courtesy of the Valory Music Co.

With Rolling Stone calling THE DEVIL DON’T SLEEP (The Valory Music Co.) one of the year’s Best of Country and Americana so far this year, alongside Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss, Nikki Lane and Jason Isbell, it feels like the critics are recognizing the lived-in truth of the Georgia born, raised and living songwriter thoroughly inhabits. But to understand the back-to-back PLATINUM success of HALFWAY TO HEAVEN and JUST WHO I AM, it comes down to understanding the bond between BRANTLEY GILBERT and his fans, known as the BG Nation.

With a tireless hard-ticket touring schedule that focuses on the Rust Belt, Northeast, West and entire South, it’s tricky being in the right place at the right time to catch him. So when the Opry Entertainment Group wanted to kick-off a new series dedicated to the fans, they knew exactly who the right artist to set their tone was: Brantley Gilbert and the always zealous BG Nation.

“When the Opry people came to us about kicking off their series Fandom,” recalls the man who won the American Music Awards Best Country Album for Just Who I Am, “I was all about it. We didn’t quite know how it was going to work, but I knew wherever they went, they were going to find the very best people in the world.

“When we got into taping, it was so much about Marc and Tina (Schardan) — I loved that! Loved the idea viewers would get a sense how blessed I am, because they were going to get to see what I see: the kind of soul I see every night when I go out and meet the people who love this music.”

With Rolling Stone calling Gilbert’s latest single “the soundtrack to Friday night in small towns everywhere,” it’s that ability to tap into how people between the coasts, the ones who work hard 60 hour weeks, that’s given the man whose penned six No. 1 singles, including Jason Aldean’s CMA Awards Song of the Year nominated “Dirt Road Anthem,” such a passion point with the BG Nation.

“Even before we had a record label, there were people who believed in this music. They believed in the things I was writing about, and they came to the shows, because my songs were their life.  When you talk to the BG Nation, that’s what they say.  But when you hear their stories, listen to them talk about their lives, that’s when what we do out on the road and in the studio gets real.”

Saying and seeing are two different things. To check out what “Fandom: Fully Committed” is all about, go to People.com (link live at 10:00A ET) – and meet one of the diehard fans who believe in Gilbert’s full-throttle way of life.

“What I love is they make it about Marc! I mean, there’s a little of us in there, but it’s really about one of so many awesome people who believe – and live – this music,” Gilbert says. “The BG Nation are friends. They don’t get enough credit in what we do, for how they inspire us – and the way they share their lives with us through how the music is part of their life.  So, I love everything about this show. And having just done our baby announcement with People, well, they understand why friends and family are so important. So where else would we debut this?”

“Fandom: Fully Committed” is dedicated – like Gilbert – to showing people the essence of what makes Country music lovers special. They set a high bar with BG Nation, who begin coming together again as THE ONE’S THAT LIKE ME 2018 TOUR kicks off February 1 at Worcester, MA’s DCU Center.

Brantley Gilbert Announces The ONES THAT LIKE ME 2018 Tour

Winter Tour Kicks Off February 1 in Worcester, MA, More Dates to Come

With Rolling Stone Citing THE DEVIL DON’T SLEEP Best of 2017, It’s Gonna Rock

Photo courtesy of Valory Music Co.

Brantley Gilbert spent all of 2017 taking his music to the people. Working the Rust Belt, the Heartland, the mid-South, the deep South and the Northeast, Gilbert knows it’s the people who make – and keep – the music strong. As Billboard said of the Georgia born’n’raised songwriter, “Brantley Gilbert knows his audience. With a pair of platinum albums and nine of his singles being certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum, Gilbert’s music strikes a chord with people.”

And that’s exactly why he’s calling this year’s tour The Ones That Like Me 2018.

“People tell you all kinds of things about marketing,” Gilbert says of his tour’s name. “But I want to call it something that speaks to what this tour is: a chance for me to get together with all the people out there who get this music, who believe in these songs and live their lives just like the people back home do. We are all proud Americans, who try to stand up and do the right thing. That isn’t marketing, that’s life – and that’s what my music is made of.”

Having spent the summer playing – and selling out — hard ticket dates in amphitheaters, as well as handful of festivals as headliner, Gilbert got to look the BG Nation in the eye. As he’s home waiting for the birth of his first child, he’s reflected on the power and the heart of those people, and he’s even more determined to give them a show that gives back everything they are!

“I say every album is a chapter of my life,” Gilbert explains, as the first 19 dates of his tour go on-sale. “It’s real, even when it’s simple – because life is pretty simple, even when it’s rough. ‘One Hell of an Amen’ looks some tough stuff in the eye, and stands tall. It’s how I was raised, and I think everyone in the BG Nation feels it the same way. So these aren’t just my songs, they’re the songs of all of our lives. When I get back out there, man, we’re gonna have even more life to lift up and celebrate.”

The Ones That Like Me 2018 Tour kicks off February 1 at DCU Center in Worcester, MA. The initial leg of what promises to be Gilbert’s most gauntlet-throwing live experience yet – one that dials back the pyro and turns up the musical intensity – is slated for 36 concerts. Joining the hard-hitting songwriter is outspoken singer/songwriter Aaron Lewis and newcomer Josh Phillips.

With THE DEVIL DON’T SLEEP (The Valory Music Co.) debuting at No. 1 for physical sales and JUST AS I AM winning the 2014 American Music Awards Favorite Country Album, Gilbert connects with the flyover. When Rolling Stone assessed the Best of Country and Americana so far this year, Gilbert’s soul-scraping album – written completely by the Georgia native – made on the list alongside progressive truth tellers Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Allison Krauss and Nikki Lane.

Deeming it “the soundtrack to Friday night in small towns everywhere,” critic Jon Freeman wrote, “Where the majority of bro-country’s standard bearers switched up their approaches upon Chris Stapleton’s coronation as country’s new king – softening their sound with boy band-flavored pop or moving away from the party vibe to more adult songwriting – Gilbert stuck to his guns and released his best album yet with The Devil Don’t Sleep.”

Entertainment Weekly concurred declaring, “With swaggering guitars, catchy hooks, and a DGAF attitude, Devil promises to keep the ‘One Hell Of An Amen’ singer at the top of the country charts.” NPR offered, “the tough guy tentatively wading into introspective territory…Gilbert is acutely aware of what keeps his audience feeling connected to him — that his fans, branded the BG Nation, identify with his bellicose tone, his defiant posture, the contempt he aims at any hint of condescension, the slight suggestion of softness behind the sneer.”
