Nashville: A New Destination For Powerboat Runs

You’ve heard of poker runs for charities or as a general community event where participants run, cycle, or canoe their way along a certain route to complete their hand, and now powerboats are the newest craze for these fun community-driven runs. Powerboat clubs all over the country have been putting together these events to introduce fellow boat owners to each other, with poker runs frequently occurring in places such as Miami, Lake Lanier near Atlanta and Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, and Nashville has recently been touted as a hotbed for powerboat gatherings.

Soul Of Nashville | Ryman Auditorium

Ryman ExpansionImagine having the opportunity to sit on the historic stage of the Ryman Auditorium at a press conference of the official unveiling of the $14 million expansion and introduction to the daytime tour attraction entitled “Soul of Nashville” within the new 100 seat theater created specifically for it? To be honest, I got goosebumps just sitting there taking it all in as I looked out at empty seats in the auditorium wondering what it must be like for any artist performing there and in awe of who has stood upon that stage over the last 125 years of its existence.  After the press conference, I was led into the new theater to enjoy “Soul of Nashville”. The Josh Wolf Show – CMT’s First Late Night Show

Have you heard the news? CMT is airing its first ever late night show with Chelsea Lately alum Josh Wolf as host and the executive producer is Chelsea Handler herself.  I can’t wait to watch it! Should be a great show if this clip is any indication!

New episodes air Thursday- Sunday every week at 11:00 – 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Each episode features Wolf – who refuses to sit behind a typical late-night-desk – with a varied panel of comedians, actors, musicians and more offering their takes on pop culture and weird-but-true headlines of the day.

Exciting Things Going On At Boot Barn Just In Time For Summer Fun!

Boot Barn May Mailer Music 2015Wow! I was just checking out one of my favorite store’s website, Boot Barn! If you didn’t know, there is a brand new store located right down on lower Broadway here in Nashville featuring boots, of course, but also some fun summer festival attire.  Now, I don’t know about you, but my wardrobe needs some fun editions and with CMA Music Festival JUST around the corner, it seems to me that it is THE place that I need to stop into to get ready for the festival coming up.  I have to be honest with you, I don’t own any boots, but I have been eyeing them in the store.  Think I’m just about to break down and buy myself a pair! Why not? I’m not really sure why I’ve been holding back, but I have.

Little Big Town Girl CrushCurrently, radio stations across the country are being forced to pull from rotation Little Big Town’s newest single “Girl Crush”.  This is all due to some angry listeners misinterpreting the song and thinking it’s about lesbians.  If it actually was, would that really be so bad? It’s 2015, after all.   It’s not, though, so everybody just relax.  What the song is really about is a jealous ex-girlfriend wanting to put herself in the place of the current girlfriend.  She wants to live vicariously through eyes of the current and desperately wants what the current girlfriend has back.  Think we’ve all been there wondering what your ex sees in this other person that they no longer see in you as your heart breaks wanting what you once had back.
