Much-anticipated show returns to Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium May 10, 2016. Tickets on sale now.

Continuing what is quickly becoming a star-studded, sold-out spring tradition, The Peach Pickers will once again host Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind, an evening celebrating the music of Georgia. The event returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 and will include a special tribute to Otis Redding. The much sought-after tickets are available for purchase now, with proceeds benefitting the non-profit Georgia Music Foundation.  Tickets are $49.50 and $39.50 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, ryman.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

For the past two years, The Peach Pickers (songwriters Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip) have organized a family reunion of sorts, featuring special guests and surprise performances by chart-topping Georgia artists and songwriters. Last year’s event included performances by Lauren Alaina, Luke Bryan, Craig Campbell, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell, as well as non-Georgia natives who joined in on the fun including Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, Randy Houser and Maggie Rose. A special performance by students from the James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils, an organization supported by the Georgia Music Foundation in 2014, stole the show and kept the audience—and artists watching from backstage—on their feet and cheering.

“While Ben, Rhett and I are humbled each year to have so many friends participate, having the J.A.M.P. students perform last year brought it all home for everyone. The musicianship and professionalism of those students made it clear to everyone what can be accomplished when we support music education and preservation programs,” explains Dallas Davidson, who serves as chair of the Georgia Music Foundation. “For all of us, this benefit concert is about giving back to Georgia and supporting invaluable programs like this one.

With proceeds from the 2015 concert, the Georgia Music Foundation established a new Music Preservation, Education and Outreach Grant Program. On Dec. 8, 2015, the Foundation presented 12 Georgia schools and organizations with the checks in the amount of $5,000 to support projects taking place in 2016.

The talent lineup for the third annual “Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind” concert will be announced in early spring.

The Georgia Music Foundation, established in 1994, fosters an appreciation for Georgia’s rich music heritage by supporting programs of music preservation, education and outreach. Applications for the 2016 Music Preservation, Education and Outreach Grant program will be available online July 1, 2016 at georgiamusicfoundation.org.
