“A change would do you good,” Sheryl Crow sang at the start of a huge event in Nashville Monday night celebrating Rolling Stone Films and Rolling Stone Country, and presented by Patrón. Her 1997 hit was a fitting choice to kick off the party in the town she has called home for a decade now, making the huge change from busy Los Angeles to a quiet Nashville ranch and also making the gutsy (and widely praised) leap from rock to country with 2013’s Feels Like Home album. Nashville has also become a second home to Rolling Stone, with last summer’s launch of our country vertical, and the city serves as the backdrop for the sixth installment of Rolling Stone Films’ “Mastering the Craft” series presented by Patrón, with the latest mini-documentary looking back on Crow’s extraordinary rise from shy Missouri music student to Michael Jackson’s backup singer to a rock & roll icon.

Rolling Stone contributing photographer Joseph Llanes captured our favorite moments from the Rolling Stone—Patrón bash, both on and off the stage. Flip through his photos of Crow’s performance, along with shots of guests ranging from country newcomers Maddie and Tae to fellow music legend Steven Tyler, all enjoying the “All I Wanna Do” singer’s nostalgic set.
