Georgia native Thomas Rhett tackled a childhood dream over the weekend, playing at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium. The talented newcomer performed to over 66,000 at his favorite team’s home turf as the first act on Jason Aldean’s NIGHT TRAIN TOUR Saturday night (4/13).

“To come back and play on this field where I grew up cheering on the Bulldogs was a dream come true! And I got to return the favor and sing with some of the UGA football guys. I think we should both probably stick to our current career paths,” joked Thomas Rhett.

Thomas Rhett engaged the packed crowd with both of his Top 15 hits – “Something To Do With My Hands” & “Beer With Jesus” – and other tunes from his forthcoming debut album. His songwriting skills were still on full display in Aldean’s set when the headliner rocked the Top 15 “1994,” which Thomas Rhett penned.

After the show Thomas Rhett headed over to the Georgia Theater to host a sold-out after party. He invited UGA Football players to the stage for a fun rendition of “Friends In Low Places.” Fans were also treated to Thomas Rhett’s sexy new single, “It Goes Like This,” which will hit Country radio on May 6.
