NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 18, 2022) – Current CMA Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year nominees Old Dominion announced their upcoming NO BAD VIBES TOUR set to kick off in spring 2023. The surprise announcement was made to a capacity crowd at Loser’s Bar and Grill in Nashville during Monday night’s Whiskey Jam performance. Old Dominion, who got their start as regulars on the Whiskey Jam stage, was joined by rising country stars and Whiskey Jam favorites Shawn Austin, Greylan James, Kassi Ashton and Frank Ray. All these acts will be joining Old Dominion in a first of its kind opportunity with Whiskey Jam to be the opening act support partner. Fans will get to see Ray, Ashton & James on all U.S. dates, and Ray, Austin along with Steven Lee Olson on all Canadian dates.

The multi-Platinum selling, chart-topping band has previously surprised fans at intimate venues in cities across the U.S. as part of their exclusive pop-up show series. The free shows were a gift from the band to their fans who they have missed performing for amid the pandemic.

Old Dominion’s headlining tour announcement follows a massively successful run on superstar Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now 2022 Tour, which included 23 stadium shows this summer. Fans can catch the reigning 4X CMA Vocal Group of the Year and 5X ACM Group of the Year on their 30 date-run which kicks off January 19, 2023 at the Ford Center in Evansville, IN and runs through July 30. Check out the full tour routing below.

Speaking about the tour, front man Matthew Ramsey said “At an Old Dominion show, I think we just want people to feel happy.  They should feel like they got to forget about whatever is bothering them or whatever’s weighing them down in that point in time.  Just come and hangout with us, and escape for a couple hours.  Then hopefully they walk out feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.”

American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time through Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10:00 p.m. local time.

In addition to their packed touring schedule, Old Dominion has been writing and recording new music which they have teased on their TikTok page. Fans have been eagerly awaiting new tunes from the band that will be released in the coming months. Their last album, Time, Tequila and Therapy, was released in 2021 and debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and is now nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards.

Old Dominion Play Bucket List Historic Ryman Auditorium Charity Show For “An Evening With Friends”

Tuesday night, acclaimed country band Old Dominion sold out and electrified the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for their special headline show: “An Evening With Friends.” The gig raised a total of $40K for charity, with half of the proceeds benefitting the Opry Trust Fund  and the other half benefitting the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
Old Dominion front man and 2017 ASCAP Artist Writer of the Year Matthew Ramsey said, “What an unforgettable night.  The Nashville community has given so much to us. Our lives have changed in ways we could never have imagined – so we felt like this show at the Ryman was a great way to start giving back. There was so much love and music and history swirling around. We are beyond proud to be able to raise money and help those who need it – along with help from our friends!”

Check out photos below of the acclaimed band of songwriters alongside Sally Williams [SVP of Programming and Artist Relations for Opry Entertainment and General Manager of the Grand Ole Opry] and Meredith Seacrest [Executive Director and COO of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation].

During this unforgettable evening, the Platinum-selling quintet and reigning Academy of Country Music Vocal Group of the Year welcomed a bevy of special guests to the stage for collaborations, including Kenny Chesney, Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Hunt, and Michael Ray for show-stopping renditions of fan favorites. Kenny surprised the band on stage and had them play “Save It For A Rainy Day,” which was penned by Matthew Ramsey and Brad Tursi and hit #1 for 3 consecutive weeks. Kelsea joined the band to duet their #1 single “Written In The Sand” and her single “I Hate Love Songs,” which was co-written by band member Trevor Rosen . Michael Ray then performed his latest energetic single “The One That Got Away,” which was penned by Matthew and Trevor. Lastly, Sam Hunt performed 2 songs with the band that included the #1 single “Make You Miss Me, as well as “Ex To See,” both of which were co-written with Sam by Matthew Ramsey. Old Dominion also performed 19 additional songs during their 120 minute set covering all their #1 hit singles, fan favorites, and debuted two brand new song unreleased songs including the youthful, energetic “Make It Sweet and the sentimental and spiritual “Smooth Sailing.”

March 2017 brought Michael Ray his second No.1 single with “Think A Little Less” off his debut self-titled album. This followed his first No. 1 single, “Kiss You In The Morning” which went to the top spot in just 24 weeks. Ray continues to grow his following, having toured with Sam Hunt, Kip Moore, Brantley Gilbert and Darius Rucker and wrapped up his own first 40-city headlining tour last year before launching into his 2017 “Get to You Tour” earlier this fall.

Michael Ray was raised in Eustis, Florida an hour from Orlando. The child of a family full of musicians, he began his professional career before he was a teenager, graduated to the bar scene as soon as he could drive and hasn’t let up on the pedal since. When he decided it was time to move to Nashville, the work Ray had put in began to pay off quickly as he landed a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music and a record deal with Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville.

Influences from both legendary music cities can be found throughout Brandon’s work including his recently released debut single, “Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers.” Co-written by Brandon with Luke Laird and Shane McAnally, “Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers” is autobiographical and walks listeners through the three biggest influences in his life – music, sports and faith. The tune sparked an immediate reaction with listeners and quickly impacted the Spotify U.S. Viral chart cresting as high as No. 7.

Brandon, who moved to Nashville in 2010, signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell in 2013 and has been building a devoted following ever since. Brandon co-produced and co-wrote every song on his debut album expected out in 2018.

Old Dominion Releases New Song “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart”

RCA Nashville’s hitmakers and reigning ACM New Group of the Year, Old Dominion, releases new music today, March 10. The new single from 2017 ACM Group of the Year nominees, “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart,” arrives at Country radio, digital retail and streaming services today. Written by Old Dominion band members Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, as well as Jesse Frasure, the band again enlists GRAMMY Award-winner Shane McAnally, who produced Old Dominion’s debut album in 2015, the GOLD certified Meat and Candy, to produce “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart.” The new song is the first taste of new music from the band’s highly-anticipated forthcoming sophomore album.

“No matter who you are, where you live or your current status, people both old and young face more challenges than ever,” says Old Dominion’s front man Matthew Ramsey. “It’s in the face of those challenges and standing at the edge of fear that we have to remain positive. Focus on the light that comes from positivity instead of being swallowed up. Work hard at doing what you feel is right.  Don’t be scared!! Live life like there’s no such thing as a broken heart.”

“No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” Lyrics
I wonder if Jack and Diane ever made it
After the drums and the guitars all faded
Was the best they could do good enough
Or did the heartland just swallow them up

How did my mom and my dad ever do it
If there were struggles then we never knew it
I guess they had each other and that was enough

CHORUS
You know you can’t keep the ground from shaking
No matter how hard you try
You can’t keep the sunsets from fading
Gotta treat your life like you’re jumping off a rope swing
Cause the whole thing’s really just a shot in the dark
Gotta love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart
Yeah you gotta love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart

What am I gonna tell my kids when they see
All of this bullshit that goes down on TV
When the whole world is down on it’s luck
I gotta make sure they keep their chin up

Cry when it hurts
Laugh when its funny
Chase after the dream
Don’t chase after the money
Know we got each other and that’s what’s up

CHORUS
Cause you can’t keep the ground from shaking
No matter how hard you try
You can’t keep the sunsets from fading
Gotta treat your life like you’re jumping off a rope swing
Cause the whole thing’s really just a shot in the dark
Gotta love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart
Yeah you gotta love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart

Gotta love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart

The band released their first full-length album Meat and Candy, which was recently named RIAA-certified GOLD and called “deceptively smart, occasionally cheeky, stellar debut,” by Entertainment Weekly. Old Dominion released their PLATINUM two-week No.1 “Break Up With Him” and RIAA-certified PLATINUM hit “Snapback” prior to their third single “Song For Another Time,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard and MediaBase on Dec. 12, 2016. Old Dominion has spent the last two summers on the road as a part of Kenny Chesney’s stadium-rocking The Big Revival Tour and Spread The Love Tour. This spring Old Dominion is out with Miranda Lambert on her Highway Vagabond Tour, having just wrapped their headlining Meat and Candy Fall Tour in December 2016. Fifteen of the dates were tapped as Stagecoach Spotlight: Old Dominion Meat and Candy Tour; the first-ever tour produced by the award-winning Stagecoach Music Festival. In 2016, the band was named ACM New Group of the Year, ACCA Breakthrough Group of the Year, AIMP Songwriter-Artist of the Year and Music Row Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Old Dominion consists of lead singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers. The lead single, “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart” from their forthcoming album, is at Country radio now.
