Nashville-Based Southern Rock Band SWEETTALKER Set To Release New Track “BLACK MAGIC” On October 27

SWEETTALKER’s newest single, “Black Magic”, is a driver, to say the least. With moments of reverence to the classics like Aerosmith, AC/DC and even The Beatles, “Black Magic” very much has a no-prisoners agenda of its own and will have your head banging in no time. “Black Magic” is set to release on digital platforms, Friday, October 27th, right in time for Halloween.

“We wanted to put something out that we could let loose on- a real jammer.” says guitarist, Ryan Pattengale, who wrote and produced the song with lead singer and bandmate, David Brown. “It’s about that thing that drives you crazy and keeps you up at night. Good or evil, it’s got you and you know it.”

SWEETTALKER is kicking off a string of tour dates in support of “Black Magic” later this month with stops including St. Louis, MO; Marion, IL as direct support for rising country music singer, Kendell Marvel; and Knoxville, TN where they will share the stage with fellow Nashville rockers, The Weeks.

About SWEETTALKER:

Nashville based Roots Rock band SWEETTALKER has made quite an impact since landing onto the Music City scene in 2016. Their very melodic, yet almost involuntarily rambunctious tone showcases the band’s young gun persona as it sweetly bleeds through an overall warm, vintage sound.

The band has spent the past two years touring all over the Southeast and Midwest U.S. since debuting their first single and music video for “Jenny,” which garnered attention from industry publications like Highlight Magazine- being cited as highly entertaining, energetic and filled with dirty riffs. The band goes back to the roots of their sound, creating aggressive rock tones mixed with hardheaded and relentless emotion.

SWEETTALKER has been out on the road this past summer promoting their latest release, “’95”– a track described by Nashville music blog, East of 8th, as a “feel-good, late-summer anthem [that] is heartland rock at its finest.”

The group is currently gearing up for their next single, “Black Magic”. SWEETTALKER’s upcoming music video for “Black Magic” is set to release on October 26th while the song will be released digitally on Friday, October 27th.

CMT Partners With The Creator Of “The Hills” And “Laguana Beach” For New Unscripted Series “Music City”

CMT just announced the greenlight of new docu-series “Music City” from famed unscripted executive producer Adam DiVello, the creator of iconic shows such as “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach”, through DiVello’s Done and Done Productions banner. “Music City” reunites CMT and Lionsgate, who partnered last year to save fan-favorite “Nashville.”

“Music City” follows a group of young emerging artists chasing their dreams of success in the music industry, while struggling to balance their personal lives and relationships. Filmed in Nashville, TN, the eight-episode series is slated to premiere early next year alongside “Nashville,” which returns for new episodes in January.

Production on “Music City” comes on the heels of a strong year for CMT, which has posted ten consecutive months of year-over-year ratings growth with Adults 18-49 and with Women 18-49. Quarter-to-date, CMT is up +17% from year ago with Adults 18-49 and up +20% with Women 18-49. (L+SD, CMT Total Day).

“Music has always played a huge role in the storytelling process of my past series,” said creator/executive producer Adam DiVello, “and with ‘Music City,’ we’ll take that element to another level, as we document the real-life struggles, heartaches, and drama of those chasing their dreams of stardom. Nashville is such an exciting city and I can’t wait to share with the world the stories of this incredibly talented cast we’ve put together.”

“After a banner year of growth, we’ve enlisted one of the industry’s most influential and talented producers to help guide our ever-expanding fanbase deeper inside our beloved hometown,” said Frank Tanki, General Manager of CMT and TV Land. “Like its sister series, ’Nashville,’ ‘Music City’ will spotlight a group of young artists as they grapple with love, life and the pursuit of their dreams through the incomparable lens of the creator of some of the most memorable series of the last 20 years. We welcome all the fans of ‘Laguna Beach’ and ’The Hills’ that are now our target audience into the world of ‘Music City,’ and CMT as a whole.”

“We are very excited to work with our incredible partners at CMT to delve deeply into the lives of six residents of Music City,” said Jennifer O’Connell, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Lionsgate. “While cinematically capturing the beauty of Tennessee’s booming state capitol and its vibrant hot spots, executive producer Adam DiVello again has brought together a special mix of creative twentysomethings as they all juggle new opportunities, relationships, jobs and unexpected challenges.”

DiVello first gained prominence as a producer on “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” which he also developed. The series, which introduced a new look and style to reality television that quickly caught on with viewers, followed the personal lives and exploits of a group of high school students and paved the way for DiVello’s highly successful spin-off, “The Hills,” which ran for six seasons on MTV. Focusing on the drama-filled lives and careers of several young women including “Laguna Beach’s Lauren Conrad, the show became one of the most talked-about series on television and led to another spin-off, “The City,” which DiVello also created and executive produced.

“Music City” is produced by Done and Done Productions in association with Lionsgate. Adam DiVello serves as creator and executive producer.

Jerrod Niemann Releases New Album, ‘This Ride’; Celebrates At Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway

Jerrod Niemann just released his fourth studio album and first on Curb Records after signing his new deal with them entitled, ‘This Ride’, on October 6th.

This release is his most adventurous yet with a strong indie rock influence throughout.  He’s taking chances and doing his own thing, which works well for him and something he is known for.  I don’t think those fans yearning for a traditional country sound will really appreciate this newest album due to the heavy influence of indie rock infused with contemporary country.  However, for fans looking for good music that is well-written and looking for an escape from the everyday reality of life, it will be right up their alley.

Be sure to buy it! It’s available everywhere that music is sold.

I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to hear the new album in advance of the release at the album launch celebration that was held at Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway in Nashville just prior to the album dropping on October 6th.

It was the perfect setting to host the celebration that included all of the songwriters that he collaborated with on this album, label, team, friends, and media.  This upscale bar/restaurant is new to Nashville with a drink menu and rustic-chic decor inspired by the renowned writer, Ernest Hemingway.  I particularly enjoyed the Steve McQueen and the daiquiri.

I found the food to be incredibly-tasty and adventurous.  My personal favorite food they served were the brussels sprouts that were savory and oh-so-flavorful.  I helped myself to 2 servings of it.  Seriously, you must give them a try!

It’s nestled in an industrial area off the normal beaten track near downtown Nashville.  With the way Nashville is growing, I have no doubt more businesses will be popping up in the same area.

Located at 438 Houston Street in Nashville.  Be sure to check it out if looking for something a bit different and an escape just like Jerrod Niemann’s new album, ‘This Ride’.  Both will be well-worth your time.

‘This Ride’ track listing & songwriters:

  1. “Zero to Crazy” (Ashley Gorley, Chris DeStefano, Shane McAnally)
  2. “But I Do” (Josh Osborne, Jimmy Robbins, Jon Nite)
  3. “Leavin’ a Trail” (Corey Crowder, Luke Dick, Cole Taylor)
  4. “I Got This” (Rodney Clawson, Josh Osborne, Luke Dick)
  5. “Out Of My Heart” (Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson, Chris DeStefano)
  6. “A Little More Love” with Lee Brice (Ross Copperman, Natalie Hemby, Shane McAnally, Kristi Neumann)
  7. “God Made a Woman” (Michael Ray, Joel Shewmake, Jeff Hyde)
  8. “Whiskey Waitin’ On Ice” (Jerrod Niemann, Lance Miller, Rob Hatch, Brandon Hood)
  9. “Feelin’” (Jeremy Stover, Chris Janson, Luke Dick)
  10. “I Ain’t All There” featuring Diamond Rio (Jerrod Niemann, Lance Miller, Richie Brown)
  11. “Come Back” (Jimmy Yeary, Matt Dragstrem, Craig Wiseman)
  12. “The Regulars” (CJ Solar, Tina Parol, Jessie Jo Dillon)
  13. “This Ride” (JT Harding, AJ Babcock, Pete Good)

Lady A’s “Heart Break” Beats At Country Radio Now

The empowering call of independence found in the title-track of of Lady Antebellum’s CMA “Album of the Year” nominated and No. One selling album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), serves as the new single from the multi-PLATINUM trio. Produced by busbee and written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Jesse Frasure and Nicolle Galyon, “Heart Break” provides “a bedrock for the entire record” (Paste) as “Scott takes satisfaction in feminine independence” (NPR) with “a touch of darkness and a clever play on words,” (Rolling Stone).

“A while ago I had written down the lyrics ‘heart break summer’ with the idea of what its like to detox from relationships for awhile,” said Dave Haywood. “Once we all got in the room together, it really evolved into a these identifiable lyrics that I think anyone can relate too. “

“Navigating the newly single life with simultaneous confidence and loneliness” (Omaha World-Herald), “Heart Break” has been dubbed a key track off the album by fans and critics, as the Washington Post predicts “with a catchy hook and chorus, fans will be singing along to this in no time.” Its “themes of independence” (CMT) caught the attention of O! Magazine’s Gayle King who vouched, “the title-track is hands down my favorite. It’s not about a ruined romance, but rather putting your heart on pause.”

To listen to “Heart Break,” click here: https://youtu.be/vvnZ1eLHWQs

Last week’s CMA “Album of the Year” and “Vocal Group of the Year” nominations follow more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. As Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone’s “must-see summer tour” wrapped to a packed hometown crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday (9/9), Lady A will continue on with their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR overseas in October. Kid Rock Releases New Song, “Tennessee Mountain Top”

At one minute past midnight Kid Rock unveiled his latest song “Tennessee Mountain Top” on streaming and sales platforms. “Tennessee Mountain Top” is impacting at Country Radio October 2. The track brings out a Country infused southern rock spirit that has drawn Country fans to Kid Rock for almost two decades since he released the CMA, ACM nominated “Picture.” Both “Picture” and his massive summer anthem “All Summer Long” continue to be fan favorites at Country Radio.

A five time Grammy nominee with over 26 million albums sold to date, Kid Rock has consistently blazed his own trail. His career intersected early with Country audiences and created a connection that has continued to grow each year. He has been twice nominated for CMA Awards, “Picture” with Sheryl Crow (2003) and “Can’t You See” with Zac Brown Band (2010). This October 6th and 7th he will host Kid Rock’s Third Annual Fish Fry in Nashville, yet another sign of his close ties to Nashville and Country Music.
Since the spontaneous release of his two most recent tracks in July, “Po-Dunk” and “Greatest Show On Earth” and their accompanying videos, Kid Rock has been at the center of media coverage speculation as to his musical and personal ambitions.
While others speculate, the artist known for his slew of American anthems and his explosive live shows has been busy touring and preparing for an epic series of concerts opening Detroit’s new Little Caesars Arena.  Not only is he the maiden act for the venue, he recently announced that the venue will play host to his own Made in Detroit restaurant to open on the Woodward Avenue side of Little Caesars Arena.
