NASHVILLE, TN – Gibson, the iconic American instrument brand, has shaped sound across generations and genres of music, becoming one of the most relevant, played, and loved guitar brands around the world. Today, Gibson Custom Shop is proud to announce a partnership with acclaimed musician and songwriter, Miranda Lambert, with the new Gibson Miranda Lambert Bluebird, her first-ever signature guitar. The rare Gibson acoustic guitar is made in the USA, hand-crafted in the storied Gibson Acoustic factory in Bozeman, Montana by Gibson’s expert acoustic luthiers. The new Miranda Lambert Bluebird from Gibson Custom Shop is now available worldwide at authorized Gibson dealers, and on www.gibson.com.

“I have been playing Gibson acoustic guitars for so long now, so to be able to partner with such an iconic brand to create my own version of the classic Hummingbird is a dream come true,” shared Lambert. “I hope this encourages musicians everywhere – especially young girls – to pick up a Bluebird and chase the same dream that guitars have made come true for me.”

“At Gibson, we’re always seeking ways to lift up the voices of artists who have shaped the sound of genres, and Miranda is a trailblazing artist that represents the best that country music has to offer” says Codey Allen, Director, Cultural Influence-North America at Gibson Brands. “Her immense talent, authenticity, and dedication to the craft of songwriting, as well as her unwavering commitment to encourage more girls and women to play guitar are what inspired us to create the Miranda Lambert Bluebird Acoustic guitar.”

A decorated songwriter, Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, passionate animal advocate, restaurateur, businesswoman, and New York Times best-selling author, Lambert is among the brightest stars in modern country music. Named as one of the most influential people in the world by TIME, Lambert has won multiple GRAMMY® Awards and has been honored with more Academy of Country Music Awards than any artist in history. A constant champion of female artists—including numerous collaborations and her work as a member of the Pistol Annies—Lambert has made it a priority to encourage more girls and women to pick up guitars themselves.

Her music and mission have been honored with a new Gibson signature guitar, her first-ever model, the Miranda Lambert Bluebird. A variation of the iconic Gibson Hummingbird, the Miranda Lambert Bluebird is as distinctive as its namesake, and features a square shoulder mahogany body with a Sitka spruce top, a striking Bluebonnet nitrocellulose lacquer finish celebrating the official flower of Lambert’s home state of Texas, and a custom Bluebird pickguard inspired by her chart-topping song of the same name. The L.R. Baggs VTC electronics make this exceptional guitar stage and studio ready from the moment you take it out of the included hardshell case.

Miranda Lambert & Leon Bridges Join Forces In “If You Were Mine” Music Video, Out Now

Miranda Lambert and Leon Bridges. Photo credit: John Shearer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As fellow GRAMMY Award winners Miranda Lambert and Leon Bridges continue to earn acclaim for “If You Were Mine”, the Texas natives have teamed up once again to film an official music video for the longing ballad of unrequited love. Watch HERE.

Directed by Reid Long, the video features Lambert and Bridges as performers at a local dive bar. Clad in a custom set by Denimcratic and adorned in Established Jewelry, Lambert trades lines with Bridges as they observe an eye-catching couple, watching the patrons flow between affection and confrontation, eventually finding a happy ending having seemingly been inspired by the on-stage performance.

Drawing inspiration from Pablo Ferro’s work in the 1960s-era Thomas Crown Affair, the split screen visuals offer varying perspectives of Lambert, Bridges and the patrons throughout the song. Eagle-eyed fans will also recognize the dive bar setting from Lambert’s Academy of Country Music Award-winning “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” Video of the Year, as she takes on a decidedly different persona for “If You Were Mine.”

Released June 6 on Lambert’s Vanner Records with distribution by IMPERIAL, the Jon Randall-produced song penned by Lambert together with Ashley Monroe and Jesse Frasure specifically with Bridges in mind has already earned critical acclaim. Rolling Stone named it among the “Best Country Songs of 2023 So Far,” declaring, “there’s not likely to be a more sensual collab in 2023… Two Texas titans – one with a steel-bodied twang, the other all billowy soul – crackle together like a warm fire in the hearth,” while UPROXX proclaims the song “contains a mystical veil of Texas magic… as they blend together elements of country and R&B.”

Lambert and Bridges also teamed up for a live debut of the song at this year’s CMA Fest, with the Nissan Stadium performance set to air as part of the primetime concert special airing Wednesday, July 19 at 8/7c on ABC.

The release is the first glimpse at new music from Lambert, who has recently teased “some fun collaborations up my sleeve,” since her critically acclaimed and GRAMMY-nominated album, Palomino, celebrated by Variety for cementing her place as “the best ambassador country has to the world.” Lambert also recently added New York Times best-selling author to her impressive list of accolades with debut book “Y’all Eat Yet?” available everywhere now and she will return to Las Vegas for the next round of her Velvet Rodeo residency shows tomorrow, July 7.

Bridges is currently in the studio working on his fourth LP for Columbia Records while touring throughout the summer and fall of 2023.

Miranda Lambert’s PALOMINO Primed For Release This Friday, April 29

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As lead single “If I Was A Cowboy” climbs the Top 20 at Country radio, reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert is set to release her eighth solo album, Palomino, this Friday, April 29 via Vanner Records/RCA Records Nashville/Sony Music Nashville. Pre-order / pre-save HERE.

“The making of this record has been one of the most fun and creative experiences of my career,” reflects the Texan songstress. “Luke Dick, Natalie Hemby and I went out to my farm in Tennessee in 2020 and started writing songs… We figured, while we have time, let’s get out to the country and see what happens. The first one we wrote was ‘Tourist’ and that set us on a path to create something with a bit of a theme. Since we couldn’t travel at the time, we decided to go on a journey through songs… I hope y’all are ready to travel with us wandering spirits and meet some cool characters with great stories.”

In the May print issue on stands now, Rolling Stone declares “Country music’s most ambitious artist keeps following her freewheeling spirit” on the new album, which displays “the country star’s reputation for stylistic risks” via “a multi-hued batch of songs about movement and characters who drift from place to place – sometimes because they want to, sometimes because they have to.” Yahoo Entertainment also offered early praise for Palomino, including the project in this week’s “It List” and noting that “this trailblazer once again confounds expectations and pushes musical boundaries.”

Visiting 30+ locations and countless characters along the way, the expansive 15-song project takes listeners on a freewheeling trek from the Mojave Desert to Battambang, Cambodia and everywhere in between. Lambert serves as a co-writer on 14 of the 15 songs, with the only outside cut arriving via a rousing cover of Mick Jagger’s “Wandering Spirit.”

With all seven of her previous solo albums debuting at No. 1 and recent collaborative project The Marfa Tapes earning her a sixth GRAMMY nod for Best Country Album, both Vulture and USA Today named Palomino among the most anticipated projects this year, with the latter recognizing the 37-time ACM Award winner’s “progressive sound” and celebrating her as “always a bit of a country maverick.”

Lambert will celebrate the release of the eagerly awaited album by kicking off a spring run of shows this week, including a headlining appearance at Nashville’s FirstBank Amphitheater on the eve of the album, before launching her co-headlining The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town in her home state of Texas next Friday, May 6.

Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Gifts Three Grants To Shelters On Behalf Of Their Volunteers

Volunteers from Morning Meadow Animal Rescue.

Animal-loving, country superstar Miranda Lambert changed things up for Giving Tuesday. Rather than asking her mutt-loving fans to donate to her 501c3 nonprofit MuttNation Foundation, she asked them to commit to volunteering for a day at their local shelter and subsequently announced that three of those lucky shelters would be randomly selected to each receive a $1,000 donation on behalf of their volunteer.

“We didn’t know if one person or 100 people would rise to the challenge and were thrilled by the response of 399 rescue-loving folks who signed on. Nothing makes me happier than to see people actively participate in making a positive difference at their local level,” said Miranda.

“We could not do what we do without our volunteers” added Paul Robinson of Morning Meadow Animal Rescue (Fordyce, AR), one of the three selected shelters. The other two rescues receiving MuttNation grants are BARC Humane Society of Palestine, TX and Dogwood Animal Shelter of Osage Beach, MO.

MuttNation encourages everyone who has the time to volunteer at their local animal shelter – and to share your stories and photos online and tag MuttNation.

Miranda Lambert + Little Big Town’s Bandwagon Caravan Comes To An End

For songwriters, an idea for a song may be nothing more than a notion — a scribble on a notepad for years before the timing, message and hook come together. So, it’s not surprising that Country superstars Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town dreamt about a co-headlining tour for years before finally pulling the trigger on their 17-city The Bandwagon Tour.

Saturday’s show at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Chicago marked the tour’s final destination, but not before giving fans one last night of high-energy hits and powerful collaborations unique to the show.

The Sun-Chronicle described the show as “an evening of country music at its best,” and CMT recalled how “everyone stayed until the ugly lights came on…It was almost as if the fans knew that this was the end, and no one wanted it to be over.”

The troupe traversed across the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest regions, playing to at-capacity crowds almost every night and treating them to a once-in-a-lifetime performance of some of the group’s greatest hits—including an hour-long encore that CMT described as feeling “as perfected as it did spontaneous.”

As Pollstar commended Lambert for “her command of the stage and the momentum build of her songs” while declaring that “Lambert at her core is a vocalist committed to the music,” the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette offered that “[Little Big Town’s] four voices coming together are some of the best harmonies that country has to offer” and Pollstar noted that “they are perhaps modern country’s most diverse and musically intelligent act.”

Opening for the quintet was Sony recording artist and country newcomer Tenille Townes, and other special guests included Natalie Hemby, The Steel Woods and Turnpike Troubadours.

Both critically acclaimed artists, Lambert and Little Big Town combine for a total of thirty-six ACM Award wins, twenty-one CMA Award wins and four GRAMMYs. Lambert, who made ACM history when she was named the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year for the ninth consecutive year, was recently announced as the Country Music Hall of Fame ® and Museum’s 15th artist-in-residence and is preparing for the release this fall of her third project with fellow Pistol Annies Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe.

Little Big Town recently hosted a sold-out, year-long residency at Ryman Auditorium and on July 26, the Country Music Hall of Fame ® and Museum launched their new, yearlong exhibit called LITTLE BIG TOWN: THE POWER OF FOUR showcasing the bands’ storied and powerful 20-year history within the country music community.

Miranda Lambert’s Little Red “Bandwagon” Overflowed

Thousands of Miranda Lambert’s fans share her passion for rescue animals and have shown it in spades by jumping on the Bandwagon Tour and donating record amounts of dog food, treats, toys, supplies, and cash to Fill the Little Red Wagon. In each city, a deserving shelter-partner was selected to participate and receive the donations. And, just to sweeten the pot, one lucky supporter at each stop was randomly chosen to join Miranda for a meet & greet. Fill the Little Red Wagon is a signature program of the MuttNation Foundation, Miranda’s 501c3 nonprofit, which was founded in 2009 by Miranda and her mom, Bev, to advance the adoption of shelter animals.

In Houston, the abundance of donations more than filled the shelter partner’s coffers. Catherine Hoffman of Corridor Rescue said, “It was a huge blessing for us to get the exposure and all of the donations from Miranda’s generous fans” Throughout the tour, the ‘overflowing’ response was the rule, rather than the exception; evidenced again by Animal Friends of Pittsburgh where they received more than 350lbs of dog food, 75lbs of treats and countless other items.

Lambert, who owns 8 rescue dogs, says, “My fans always amaze me with their compassion and generosity. Knowing so many of us share this love for shelter pets adds another special connection between us and, when I get to hear some of the fans’ stories about their rescues, it always touches my heart.”

MuttNation would like to hear how you give back to help shelter animals. If you’ve participated with Fill the Little Red Wagon, if you volunteer at a shelter, if you have helped spread the news about the joys and benefits of adopting shelter pets, share your photos on our social media pages now and learn how to win an autographed photo of Miranda Lambert and a MuttNation ‘Good Doggie’ Bag. For every lemonade purchased at a Lemon:Aid Stand, $1 will go towards the organization to help end the water crises in Africa. Just $40 provides clean water, sanitation, hygiene and community support for one person in Africa for life and $200 provides the same for a family of 5 for life.

Blood:Water is an equipping agency that partners with African grassroots organizations to address the water and HIV/AIDS crises, by identifying Africa’s hidden heroes and coming alongside their vision for change. The organization provides technical, financial, and organizational support so that African civil society organizations have expanded reach and effectiveness in the communities they serve.

In addition to Lemon:Aid Stands, co-headliner Miranda Lambert is continuing her efforts to “Fill the Little Red Wagon” with her MuttNation Foundation by asking fans to bring dog food, supplies, toys, treats, and donations to help local no-kill animal shelters. To help shine the spotlight on rescue animals and shelters, Miranda and her mom Bev Lambert founded MuttNation Foundation in 2009 to ensure that as many dogs as possible would have a safe and happy place to call home.

Miranda Lambert has found the perfect way to nurture two of her passions – music and mutts. In every community during her 24-city 2018 Livin’ Like Hippies Tour, Miranda’s 501c3 nonprofit, MuttNation Foundation, will collect dog food, treats, supplies & cash donations for a local shelter at the “Fill the Little Red Wagon” activation, located at the entrance of each venue before the show.

Lambert, who owns 8 rescue dogs, says, “I always try to combine my two passions which are music & mutts. I’ve gotten to meet some amazing people that run shelters in the communities where we perform, and I always love connecting with other dog-loving fans.”

Supporters can drop off their donations and sign up for a chance to win a meet and greet with the mutt-loving and celebrated superstar, presented by Live Nation & MuttNation. Check venue sites online for Little Red Wagon collection times.
