NASHVILLE, Tenn. – March 5th, 2019  – Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Maggie Rose is joining Kelly Clarkson’s Meaning Of Life Tour for a run of East Coast dates, kicking off at PPL Center in Allentown, PA this weekend (3/9) and then on to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT for two nights (3/14 & 3/15). Named by USA Today as a “Can’t Miss” and in their list of “…performers who’ll go above and beyond, define a moment..,” Rose continues to capture the audience with her remarkable stage presence and unparalleled voice. Rolling Stone called her “…2018’s most transformed artist, fully embracing the soulful side of her talent…” and The Washington Post lauded her style as, “…louder, looser, more spontaneous…her voice, which has always threatened to incinerate the eyebrows of anyone sitting in the front row.” Rose is touring in support of her critically-acclaimed album Change The Whole Thing, which was named one of Rolling Stone’s Best Albums of 2018. In addition to opening shows with Kelly Clarkson, she is also headlining tour dates nationwide with Them Vibes as her direct support (see the full list of tour dates below).

Rose recently teamed up with Them Vibes to release “Right On,” a collaboration track that is now available on iTunes and digital retailers everywhere. Already impacting Triple A and Americana radio stations with early support in markets including Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL and Birmingham, AL, Rose is slated to be Lightning 100’s Artist of the Week for March 11th. WRLT Lightning 100’s Program Director Dan Buckley said, “sold out show after sold out show…start playing…and see what happens.” “Right On” is a ‘70s inspired funk song and features Maggie’s voice and celebrates her love for rock, pop and soul. The song was written by Alex Haddad, Brother Love and Kyle Lewis of Them Vibes. Listen to “Right On” here: https://bit.ly/2X6K29U.

Change The Whole Thing was recorded entirely live in the studio with a 13-piece band and no overdubs, capturing the authenticity and energy of Rose’s live performance. With an invigorating blend of soul, roots, blues and gospel, the album is Rose’s first full-length record release in five years. In 2018, Rose was a featured YouTube Emerging Artist and a Pandora Artist to Watch, and was highlighted in Southwest’s Live at 35 program and in Land O’Lakes’ National ad campaign, focused on women empowerment. Quickly being recognized as a formidable force in the pop-soul, jam-band arena, Rose recently performed aboard the Cayamo Cruise with a lineup that included; Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris, Amanda Shires, Indigo Girls, The War and Treaty and Dawes. This summer, she will make her debut at the 2019 Peach Music Festival. For more information, visit https://www.maggierosemusic.com/.

Wonderful Happenings At VIP Premiere Of The Queen’s: Designing The Royals Exhibit At Hutton Hotel

We had a fantastic time at the recent VIP premiere of the Queen’s: Designing The Royals exhibit at Hutton Hotel near downtown Nashville on November 8th. So glad that we could be included!

The evening started with an elegant cocktail party inside the beautiful and newly-remodeled Hutton Hotel, a tour of the new exhibit featuring beautiful outfits made for and worn by some of the queens of country music like Dolly Parton, Margo Price, and more.  Margo Price also was in attendance for the premiere.

Afterwards, guests were invited to enjoy a fun after party inside Analog at Hutton Hotel, Nashville’s beautiful, newest music venue that was added to the hotel during the renovation last year.  The atmosphere inside felt like a dream.

We especially enjoyed Maggie Rose’s soulful performance and the glorious harmonies of The Shendells.  They sang and talked of self love, self worth, and self respect.  Such an empowering evening and a great way to wrap up the night!

Maggie Rose To Release Anthemic New EP ‘Dreams > Dollars’ (May 19)

“Body On Fire” debuted via Spotify’s New Music Friday: spoti.fi/2p4hbpL

Check out a teaser here: bit.ly/2pesnMc

Praised as “what’s next in Nashville” by NPR, Maggie Rose will release her new EP ‘Dreams > Dollars’ on May 19. Fueled by love and loss and her own personal experiences with the two, Maggie penned and co-produced the five-song EP, showcasing her evolution into “one of country’s rising storytellers” (Washington Post).

In “Body On Fire” (available now via Spotify pre-order), the provocative lead-off single, Maggie’s sultry vocals set free the yearning urgency of requited love. A tender guitar intro builds to the lust-filled crescendo, “you don’t even need to try, you just set my body on fire!” It hits right in the solar plexus and you wait for it to happen again and again. Her explosive range empowers listeners to embrace their bodies and sexuality. Listen via Spotify here: spoti.fi/2p4hbpL

The remaining tracks on ‘Dreams > Dollars’ play as an exuberant, anthemic collection that delivers poignant clarity through her relatable stories of love, success and struggle. The EP’s first track, “Too Many Love Songs,” creates a not-so-picturesque image of the aftermath of a relationship. With references to Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline, the song is an anthem to the brokenhearted and quickly becomes a safe haven from unavoidable love songs. Title track “More Dreams Than Dollars” “exudes both confidence and vulnerability… [weaving the] tale of hope” (Rolling Stone Country) familiar to all struggling dreamers, while “I Won’t” sketches a voyeuristic take on love, pinpointing the dysfunction that arises from passion. The EP caps with “We’ll Grow Out Of It,” where Maggie capitalizes on a universally relatable theme post-2016 — trying to find your place in the world while watching it seemingly fall off the hinges.

“This project was simply the most natural, relevant next step for me. I’m so inspired by what I am most passionate about: the music I made and the people I love,” says Maggie. “I’ve never been more comfortable in my own skin than I am now, and I think this EP showcases that.”

Maggie is off to an amazing start in 2017. In addition to her 13-date run on Martina McBride’s CMT Next Women of Country Tour, she has landed her biggest direct-support dates yet. She’ll be heading out on the road with Hunter Hayes this Spring and will cap her Summer as direct-support on Tim McGraw & Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul tour. Maggie joins CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Brothers Osborne, GRAMMY-winning songwriter Lori McKenna, Margo Price and more as support.

Song Review: Maggie Rose | “Girl In Your Truck Song”

Maggie-Rose-Girl-in-Your-Truck-SongMaggie Rose delivers a clever and catchy tune with her new song “Girl In Your Truck Song”.

She makes clever use of popular lyrics from many “bro-country” songs like “get your shine on”, “cruise”, “hop on in and slide over”, and many more threaded throughout the song.  You will find yourself listening over and over just to see how many “bro-country” song lyrics you can pick out! Aside from that fun aspect, you will want to listen again simply because it’s a catchy mid-tempo tune sung by a very talented vocalist.  Continue Reading →
