MULTI-ACM AWARD® WINNING GROUP LADY ANTEBELLUM TO HOST 10TH ANNUAL ACM HONORS™ ON AUGUST 30 AT THE RYMAN IN NASHVILLE
The Academy of Country Music® announced today ten-time ACM Award-winning group, Lady Antebellum will host the 10TH ANNUAL ACM HONORS™, an evening dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards. For the first time ever, ACM Honors will be produced for television by dick clark productions and broadcast at a later date on the CBS Television Network. The 10th Annual ACM Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. ACM Honors performers and airdate for the primetime special will be announced in the coming weeks.
Honorees include Special Awards recipients Glen Campbell, Crystal Gayle, Eddie Rabbitt (awarded posthumously), Tanya Tucker, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Jeff Walker (awarded posthumously), Jimmy Webb, Little Big Town and The Statler Brothers. Studio Recording Awards recipients include Jim ‘Moose’ Brown, Dave Cobb, Shannon Forrest, Paul Franklin, Justin Niebank, Danny Rader, Michael Rhodes and Derek Wells. In addition, Ross Copperman will be honored as Songwriter of the Year.

After a sold-out performance for their first-ever headlining hometown stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday (9/11), Lady Antebellum will wrap their headlining WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR having proven “the group is far from running out of steam” (Billboard) with an “effervescent evening of impeccable harmonies” (The Tennessean). The 65-city tour that first launched in Europe earlier this year will soar into its final destination this weekend with shows in Pittsburgh, PA (9/18) and Camden, NJ (9/19).
Lady Antebellum’s WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR took off at high velocity this weekend with “the biggest production the band has ever mounted” (Rolling Stone). “No one can accuse them [Lady Antebellum] of not going all out in terms of stage design and visual effects,” heralded the Lubbock Avalanche Journal who also noted the group’s “harmonies are as strong as ever.” Their 65-city WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR presented by Quicken Loans, descended on Lubbock, Houston and Dallas, TX for opening weekend and will navigate across the country this summer with special guests Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt.

The band will kick things off on Feb. 28 with a European trek through Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, the UK and Australia and begin the North American leg on May 1 in Lubbock, TX. The tour will continue through the fall with triple-threat entertainer Hunter Hayes and red-hot newcomer Sam Hunt rounding out the electric lineup. As part of Public Television’s “Front and Center” music series the show will feature a special “CMA presents Lady Antebellum”, which will begin airing October 28th (check local listings). Along with the debut of new music from their recently released studio album 747, the country trio and multi-CMA Award winners perform hits “Need You Now,” “Just A Kiss” and “I Run To You.” The performance also includes first-time onstage collaborations with songwriters Rodney Clawson, Tom Douglas, Josh Kear, Luke Laird, and Abe Stoklasa, all sharing stories behind some of Lady Antebellum’s hottest songs.
Lady Antebellum is navigating their way to the west coast this week, starting with a performance of their brand new single “Freestyle” tomorrow on The Ellen Degeneres Show (check your local listings). Friday (10/24), the group will represent country music at CBS Radio’s annual “We Can Survive” concert at the Hollywood Bowl alongside Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Paramore, Sia, Taylor Swift and Gwen Stefani.
