MOONPIE AND CRAIG MORGAN DONATE 35,000 MOONPIES TO AMERICAN TROOPS RETURNING HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

imageMoonPie, an American favorite since 1917, along with country music artist Craig Morgan, is shipping over 35,000 MoonPies to USO centers across the country this week as a “thank you treat” for U.S. troops who are heading home for the holidays. MoonPie enlisted the country music star and Army veteran to assist with a six-month social media campaign that invited MoonPie and Morgan fans to donate a free MoonPie to the troops. The USO, with their long history of supporting American troops, was the natural partner for the campaign.

Craig Morgan Recovering From Shoulder Surgery

Craig MorganKnown for his adventurous spirit and daredevil streak, country music star and former soldier CRAIG MORGAN was scheduled for routine shoulder surgery yesterday to repair torn tendons that had accumulated over the years. The minor procedure turned out to be more complex than anticipated, requiring several hours of surgery and six screws to remedy bone fractures. As a result, the singer has been forced to cancel his commitments into next week, including shows in Chattanooga, TN and Twenty-Nine Palms, CA along with his scheduled appearances on “The Talk” (CBS) and The Grand Ole Opry. While he’ll be sporting a sling for the next several weeks, it’s anticipated that Craig will recover fully and be able to return to his usual hectic lifestyle, including concert dates and filming for the new season of his award-winning TV show, “Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors” (Outdoor Channel).

The Black River Entertainment artist’s latest single, “Wake Up Lovin’ You,” from The Journey (Livin’ Hits), is Top 15 and climbing on the charts. Morgan recently returned from Afghanistan and his eleventh overseas tour for our troops.

CRAIG MORGAN SET FOR BACK-TO-BACK TV APPEARANCES

Following his return from Afghanistan and his eleventh overseas tour for our troops, country music star and former solider CRAIG MORGAN will make his first appearance on the hit daytime program, THE TALK, on Monday, May 19, airing at 2pm ET/1pm PT/CT on CBS. Craig Morgan Enlists Celebrity Friends For 8th Annual Charity Event Benefitting The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation

Country music star and award winning TV host, CRAIG MORGAN, has enlisted the support of fellow music friends, as well as a number of motocross celebrities, for his 8th annual charity event.  Tickets for the July 20th star-studded concert and celebrity off-road trail ride, taking place in Craig’s hometown of Dickson, Tenn., go on sale today, Friday, May 9th, and can be purchased online HERE, at www.CraigMorgan.com, and all Tri-Star Bank Locations. Proceeds will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation. The organization’s primary goal is to assist foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee.

The family-friendly festivities kick off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 20th in Dickson. The morning will start with a hair-raising motocross exhibition from several of motocross’ top celebrities and competitors, followed by a group trail ride and lunch. Motocross stars participating this year include: Kevin Windham, Malcolm Stewart, Destry Abbott, Fred Andrews, Randy Hawkins, Andrew Short, and Larry Ward.

Later that night, fans can catch Black River Recording Artist Craig Morgan and friends for an outdoor concert at the Dickson War Memorial Lawn. A live and silent auction will also take place from the concert.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.

Both events are open to the public. Event tickets will go on sale May 9 at CraigMorgan.com. Celebrity participants for both events will be announced in the coming weeks.

ABOUT THE DICKSON COUNTY CRAIG MORGAN FOUNDATION: The idea for The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation was born while Craig Morgan was serving as an Assistant Sheriff’s Deputy in Dickson, TN and named for his wife Karen’s father. The organization, a component fund of the 501c3 Craig Morgan Dickson County Educational Foundation, will support foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. Craig’s continuing charitable mission is to eventually build and maintain a home in Dickson County Tennessee for temporarily displaced children in Tennessee’s 23^rd District (5 counties) and to provide lasting funding for the home. His long-term goal is to start additional Billy’s Place homes around the country.
