Houser Celebrates Top 15 Single in “How Country Feels” This Week
Performing over 150 dates each year and celebrating a Top 15 Billboard and Mediabase single in “How Country Feels” this week means a lot of hard work and dedication for Randy Houser and his band, but every now and then the guys like to let loose and have a little fun. In an exclusive video on AOL’s The Boot, they invite fans behind-the-scenes to see exactly what happens on the road — from load-ins and soundchecks to goofing off with each other and taking it all in. The montage was shot and edited by Houser’s drummer, Kevin Murphy, and was recorded on the road this summer. Visit http://aol.it/UEXZTZ to view.
Meanwhile, his smash hit “How Country Feels” continues to climb its way up the country charts, selling over 200,000 singles to date, and is Houser’s second highest charting single of his career next to his 2009 No. 2 hit “Boots On.” The first single from his forthcoming 2013 album release on Stoney Creek Records, Houser says, “It was the obvious choice for a lead-off. It caught my ear the first time I heard it – like, ‘I wanna hear that again.’”
Fans can stay tuned to RandyHouser.com to hear more on what they can expect from his forthcoming album and where they can catch him out on the road this fall. Who knows, they may even earn a spot in one of the band’s behind-the-scenes on the road videos!
NASHVILLE, TN (August 6, 2012) – Country supergroup Rascal Flatts give fans a preview of their new music video for their current single “Come Wake Me Up,” which is on the cusp of Top 20, with a behind-the-scenes special, which launched today at CMT.com. The full video will make its world premiere Friday, August 10 on CMT at 6 a.m. ET, and run at the top of every hour during music hours.
Filmed in Nashville, the video includes a cameo by Joe Don Rooney’s wife, Tiffany Fallon. Adding to the intensity of the dramatic scenes, two-time female street freestyle world champion Dena Sodano steps in Fallon’s role as the motorcycle stunt driver. “Come Wake Me Up” was directed by Shaun Silva, who explains the idea behind the video as the fate of two people from entirely different worlds.
“So I had this story unfolding, this moment of – here’s a girl who really is just from a different world than what he’s from,” said Silva. “Joe Don’s character is doing all the things anybody would want to do for someone they love, but it threatens her identity until one night after an argument, she removes a necklace like breaking free from his lavish grasp. Her decision to leave, and his to chase after her, only pushes her further towards her foreshadowed fate.”
Rascal Flatts will be featured on CMT all week long as some of their biggest hit videos return to the channel, and will be introduced by the band themselves. The video premiere will be promoted across all of CMT’s digital platforms including CMT.com, CMT Mobile and nearly 3 million social media fans.

Back on Friday, March 23rd, I was invited to capture some behind-the-scenes shots and watch as Tommy Steele created his new video for his newest single “My Side Of The Street” here in Nashville. You can see my slideshow footage from behind-the-scenes by clicking right HERE!
We met late afternoon at The Turnip Truck in the trendy The Gulch area in Nashville to shoot a couple of scenes with Tommy Steele and his co-star, LeLoni Hamilton, who plays his romantic interest in the video.
The song and video are about falling in love with someone with a different social and economic background than you. Wishing you could meet in the middle somehow despite differences. A sad tale since the two can’t seem to make it work and get past their differences. Easy to relate to by most people.
I enjoy Michigan-native, Tommy Steele‘s voice, which is distinctive, and this song. Almost puts me in mind of Bruce Springsteen. Check out the video I’ve included below! Even includes some footage of another friend of mine, David Bradley, as Tommy Steele’s motorcycle riding buddy in the video. David’s a great country artist himself and check out his music, too!
The whole experience was both interesting and fun! I really enjoyed being around Tommy Steele, Martha Moore, and the whole production team that day. Thanks for the invitation and making me feel so welcome!
