Earlier this week, friends, family, and industry tastemakers gathered below The Sutler in the future home of the Rambler Bar to celebrate Columbia Nashville artist and BMI songwriter Luke Combs and his number one hit, “One Number Away.” Co-written with ASCAP songwriter Steven Battey, BMI songwriter Robert Williford, and SESAC songwriter Sammy Mitchell, the hit marks the third consecutive number one for Luke Combs as an artist and the first number one in the country market for the other three co-writers. BMI Executive Director Leslie Roberts served as the party’s emcee with remarks from ASCAP’s Beth Brinker and SESAC’s ET Brown. Publisher presentations were made on behalf of the writers by Big Machine’s Mike Molinar, Concord Music’s Brad Kennard, and River House Artists’ Lynn Oliver-Cline. Combs is currently on Jason Aldean’s High Noon Neon Tour.
