Music Row friends and family packed The Basement East to celebrate the team behind the ACM Awards Song of the Year nominated Keith Urban hit single, “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” The tune marked eighteenth chart-topper for songwriter Hillary Lindsey and the second for co-writer Clint Lagerberg, while songwriter-artist Steven Lee Olsen celebrated his very first #1 song. Lindsey is also nominated for the ACM’s Songwriter of the Year award, while Urban is up for ACM awards in four additional categories: Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Album and Single of the Year.

The celebration kicked off with a live performance of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” by Urban, the songwriters and producer/guitarist Dann Huff, followed by a long line of music industry well-wishers who took to the mic to offer their congratulations, including publishers BMG’s Daniel Lee, Cornman Music’s Nate Lowery, Sea Gayle Music’s Marc Driskill, Spirit Music’s Daniel Hill and Warner/Chappell’s Ben Vaughn; and Urban’s label home Capitol/UMG Nashville’s Mike Dungan. Hosted by ASCAP’s Mike Sistad and Beth Brinker, the party was sponsored in part by First Tennessee Bank.
