According to several news sources, the body of Craig Strickland, lead singer of Backroad Anthem, was recovered today (January 4th) in Bear Creek Cove on Kaw Lake in Oklahoma.
Strickland and his friend, Chase Moreland, were reported missing on Sunday, December 27th on a duck hunting trip in Kay County, Oklahoma on Kaw Lake.
Their capsized boat and Moreland’s body were both found Monday, December 28th, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Only Strickland’s dog, Sam, was found alive at that time. The search for Craig Strickland continued until his body was recovered today.
The Strickland family has been notified, and our prayers go out to both them and the Moreland family during this difficult time.
