The Cumulus NASH Next Season One finale was held at the Wildhorse Saloon on Thursday, December 3rd with Demolition Music Publishing’s Adam Searan securing the runner-up positon.

Adam performed his premiere single Last on the finale stage where he was joined with the other finalists in the Top 10. In an event that featured Cassadee Pope and host Nash Nights Live’s Shawn Parr, each finalist performed the song they profiled in the last challenge which had them creating a music video with the help of the students at Ringling College of Art and Design out of Sarasota, FL. As the results were revealed, Adam, who had fought his way through the thousands that signed up for the competition, finished runner-up to the group Breaking Southwest.

“I look forward to the opportunities that will develop as a result of this first season,” says Adam.  “I developed a great relationship with the Cumulus and Big Machine team as well as the other finalists.”

“We are so proud of Adam for his recognition throughout NASH Next’s Season One,” says Demolition Music Publishing President Jon D’Agostino. Co-Publisher Abbe Nameche continues saying “We were so excited to watch as country music fans discovered his unique talents and are enthusiastic for what the future holds for this budding, Nashville-reared talent.”

Adam Searan recently added another prestigious credential to his impressive resume capturing the 2015 Unsigned Only Music Competition win for his song, and current single, Last. The song, which was co-written by Adam and Jon D’Agostino, beat out stiff competition in the country music category.  This is the second time in just over a year that Adam has won a songwriting competition. Last also captured the grand prize win in the country music category of the 2014 John Lennon International Songwriting Contest.

Adam’s single has been garnering critical acclaim among music journalists and radio personalities. Dr. Dave of KDKD in Clinton, Mo., said Last is the “fresh sound my music lineup has needed,” and that Adam “sings of a burning love without bringing in beer or 4×4’s.”

Robert K. Oermann of Music Row stated, “This Nashvillian won the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest’s grand prize in the country division with this ringing, stirring, upbeat anthem about questing for answers in an uncertain world. I can certainly hear why. It is immensely melodic and effortlessly hooky. The bonuses are that he sings it like a bird, and the production is a mini masterpiece. Essential listening.”

Adam’s music has been featured on television programs like Cold Case, Miami Ink, All My Children, One Life to Live and American Weed. This Nashville native has been profiled on/in the following: CMA Close Up, Country Weekly, Nashville Scene, Nashville Music Guide, Country Music Tattle Tale, The Daily Country, WGGC (Bowling Green, KY), WBKO – ABC TV (Bowling Green, KY), WNKY-NBC TV (Bowling Green, KY), WMGQ (Somerset, NJ), K-BULL 93 (Salt Lake City, UT), WKHX (Atlanta, GA) & WHIS (Bluefield, WV).

About Adam Searan

At age 11, Adam began experimenting musically with simple songs that were rooted in his faith and helped him overcome great challenges. Inspired by the sounds of the hit British rock band Oasis and fueled by a vast variety of other contemporary story-telling artists such as John Prine, David Gray, the Counting Crows, Keith Urban and others, Adam has grown into a solid musician and reflective songwriter. Fresh new melodic direction and the avoidance of clichés are just two of his greatest strengths as a writer.
