While touring on the west coast, MCA Nashville’s Josh Turner took time to join former pro football player Mike Pawlawski on a wild hog hunt for Outdoor Channel’s “Gridiron Outdoors.”
Scheduled to air in Feb. 2016, the episode follows Turner and Pawlawski at California’s Tejon Ranch as they sought out this mammoth 300+ lb. wild boar.
“What an exciting day,” expresses Turner. “Mike and the guys were great to hunt with and this hog is incredible. They say he’s in the top 1% of what they see as far as size goes. It took four grown men to hoist him onto the tailgate!”
Turner is still sporting his award-winning facial hair following his term as Chairman of the Beard leading the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s annual “No Shave November” campaign. While taking home the “Most Valuable Beard” title, Turner and his team (pictured below) came in third place raising over $6,700 towards the nearly $82,000 total.
“It has been a pleasure and an honor to raise awareness for St Jude’s as Chairman of The Beard,” shares Turner. “Thanks to everyone on my team and to all those who donated!”
