Music City Food + Wine Festival: Oh, What A Weekend!

Music City Food + Wine FestivalThe 3rd annual Music City Food + Wine Festival took place this past weekend on September 19th and 20th with the festival held at the beautiful Bicentennial Park.  Included with the festival was Harvest Night held at Hall of Fame Park in downtown Nashville on Saturday night featuring incredible live performances from Kings of Leon, Jewel, Michael MacDonald and Michelle Branch…just to name a few notables.  Sunday featured a special gospel brunch to start the day with live music from the incredible performer Robert Randolph, known as an amazing pedal steel player and singer, accompanied by a gospel choir.

Both the festival and Harvest Night featured gourmet food samples from numerous local restaurants, world-renowned chefs and vendors.  Festival goers could feast on as many samples as they liked and participate in fun classes throughout the day to learn how to mix special alcoholic concoctions to entertain guests or just simply to enjoy themselves.  There were also various food demonstrations throughout the 2-day festival featuring famous chefs like Graham Elliot from “MasterChef” and Aaron Sanchez from “Chopped”.

My personal favorite activities, aside from indulging in fabulous gourmet food and drinks, were the Hendricks Gin cocktail academy taught by the charming and sharp dresser Freddie Hendricks.   I also enjoyed the Mexican food demonstration taught by “Chopped” star Aaron Sanchez and Nate from Kings of Leon making a drop-in appearance to help.

Overall, I found the festival to be well-organized and very well done.  The grounds were elegantly decorated with numerous tents that attendees could just relax and enjoy.  It was a perfect fall weekend to enjoy this wonderful festival.  I’m just sad that it’s over.  I highly recommend this festival.  Although the prices are not cheap, foodies like myself, will absolutely love it.  Fantastic food, numerous beverages and it can’t possibly be without great music being situated in Music City! I look forward to the festival coming back again next year.

Well, that’s a wrap! Had a fabulous time at the Music City Food + Wine Festival this weekend! #MusicCityFW 🍷🍤 A photo posted by FOCUS on the 615 (@focus_on_the_615) on
