Music City Food + Wine Festival is pleased to announce the addition of Sunday Gospel Brunch, with a menu crafted by Matt Bolus (404 Kitchen) and a live performance by award-winning steel pedal guitarist Robert Randolph and the Nashville Friends Choir, book signing schedule and dynamic activations on festival grounds at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park (600 James Robertson Pkwy) during the third annual festival, Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2015: http://www.musiccityfoodandwinefestival.com/

The inaugural Gospel Brunch, presented by Smithfield, the leading provider of high-quality pork products, will be held Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.  Throughout the weekend, Bolus will join Smithfield to serve delicious pork dishes inspired by the city of Nashville.  At the Gospel Brunch, festival attendees can enjoy Bolus’ twists on brunch classics, including his Ham and Cheese Griddle Sandwiches and Hair of the Dog Buttermilk Bourbon Fried Sausages made with Smithfield bacon and ham, set to a live performance by Randolph and the Nashville Friends Choir, a collection of some of the best vocalists in town who often provide backing voices to noted artists across many musical genres, including gospel, country and R&B.

“Nashville is one of America’s all-time, great music towns due to its diversity of sound,” says Randolph.  “We’re looking forward to carrying on that tradition and performing a set of gospel music that speaks to the soul.”

“I always look forward to festivals and even more so when it’s on your home turf,” says Bolus.  “The camaraderie between chefs is amazing.  And because we often work the same hours, the festival gives me a rare opportunity to hang out with these awesome chefs from Nashville and around the country.  I’m really looking forward to having fun with my peers and preparing a playful brunch menu with Smithfield ham and bacon.”

The festival grounds at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park will come alive on Saturday and Sunday with a variety of culinary and lifestyle activations.  Around the park programming is scheduled to include: Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Coup, which will offer live cooking demonstrations and samples every hour; and A Moment in Bloom, by Kim Crawford, offering a beautiful space to enjoy vibrant, expressive wines from New Zealand and unique wine cocktails.

Come Share the Table™ with Barilla pasta and sample delicious recipes while getting some culinary secrets from the chefs; “Discover Nashville” with Renaissance Hotels and sip and savor unique local flavors combined with unexpected hotel experiences and giveaways, curated by Andrew Zimmern and FOOD & WINE; or visit the Infiniti Lounge to experience the Q50S and Q70L while enjoying live food demonstrations with brand partner and celebrity chef, Scott Conant.

Uber is partnering with Music City Food + Wine Festival to offer attendees Nashville’s most reliable ride to & from the festivities.  At the touch of a button, users can request a ride to the Grand Tasting tents or Harvest Night at Uber’s exclusive pickup/drop-off lane.  New Uber users can apply the promo code “FOODWINE” to receive a free ride up to $20.

Designed in Nashville and handmade in Italy, Peter Nappi leather footwear and goods are a distinctive blend of Italian heritage and American individualism, and attendees can stop by the Peter Nappi tent on-site to shop the current collection; sample curious and unusual cocktails with the Hendrick’s Gin Curious Cocktail Configurator (and learn what this contraption is); or stop by the KitchenAid areas to view the brand’s new appliance offerings.

Visit South Walton will bring Florida’s best beaches and Gulf-to-Table cuisine to the festival by offerings samples from South Walton’s hottest chefs and locally brewed beers; swing by the Patrón Tequila bar for a selection of deliciously inventive and refreshing cocktails and tequila infused popsicles by King of Pops; while The Nashville Originals, the city’s association of locally owned restaurants, will showcase two popular chefs who will each offer a dessert centered around local ingredients that capture the essence of Nashville and its culinary identity.
