Before singer-songwriter Taylor Swift took the stage on Saturday night at MetLife Stadium on THE 1989 WORLD TOUR, her second show at the stadium performing to over 120,000 die hard friends and fans, she was honored for numerous chart accolades by her record label President/CEO Scott Borchetta Big Machine Records.

It has been less than a year since Swift released her record-breaking 1989 album and there has been no slowing down for the entertainer whom New York magazine hailed on their cover as the “Biggest Pop Star In The World.” According to Soundscan, over five million copies of 1989 have been sold since its debut last fall, marking Swift the fastest artist to sell five million albums in the past 10 years. Furthermore, the critically acclaimed album has produced four #1 hit singles on the Billboard Radio Airplay charts for songs “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style” and “Bad Blood.”

The 1989 WORLD TOUR, which kicked off in Japan in early May and will come to a close in Australia this December, has received much praise from fans and critics alike:

“Never one to do things halfway, Swift has made this a pop show – or rather the pop show,
as far as 2015 is concerned.”
– Rob Sheffield, Rolling Stone Magazine

“Swift has become a commanding stadium-sized pop star.”
– Hardeep Phull, New York Post

“Playing to 65,000 people, Taylor Swift’s 1989 was everything we wanted in a concert… A show of lights, glitter and kick-ass sisterhood, Swift told the audience she would ‘remember this night for the rest of [her] life’ and, well, after that performance Taylor, so will we.”
– Alice Howarth, Glamour Magazine

“[The 1989 World Tour]’s the obvious end result of Operation 1989 World Domination.”
– Erin Strecker, Billboard Magazine

“Judging by the screams echoing long after she left the stage, it’s safe to say that Taylor knows exactly how to entertain a 65,000 strong crowd and keep them dancing for days afterwards. Seriously though, we’re still dancing.”
– Charlotte Warwick, MTV
