After playing a sold-out show at the legendary Gruene Hall earlier this month – drawing 1,100 past-capacity – Whiskey Myers have confirmed additional dates, including a show with Lynyrd Skynyrd at Sam Houston Race Park and several dates with 7Horse as the opener in September, supporting their Dave Cobb-produced album ‘Early Morning Shakes.’ The band has toured extensively since the album was released earlier this year, debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Digital Country Albums chart and in the Top 10 on their Top Country Albums chart – their highest charting record to date.
Country Weekly called the band’s sound “wholly unique Texas grit,” and The Dallas Observer called Whiskey Myers “required listening for fans of the Allman Brothers” and praised their floor-rattling live shows. Texas Music raved about the “riff-heavy blend of southern rock and gritty country” of ‘Early Morning Shakes.’
