Average Joes Entertainment Acquires 50% Stake in Mega Truck Series

Nashville-based Average Joes Entertainment has expanded its reach in the Off-Road Entertainment world with the announcement today that it has acquired a 50% ownership stake of the extreme outdoor sports racing series, Mega Truck Series (MTS). The widely popular extreme off-road racing series will launch its third season this weekend at Bama Jam Farms in Enterprise, Alabama.
Shannon Houchins, CEO/Average Joes Entertainment, commented, “We have always shared a common lifestyle fan base.  This deal allows us to maximize the overall fan experience with a combination of big truck races and music as well as create bigger and better on-site marketing opportunities for our sponsors.”
Mega Truck Series’ President, Jeremy Forsyth, added, “We have teamed with some of the best in the business to bring you down and dirty high flying, extreme mud-racing action mixed with great music and family entertainment.”
Mega Truck has shown tremendous growth since the series began two years ago. The extreme off-road sport has grown increasingly more popular with attendance at individual events exceeding 10,000 fans. The convergence of both entities unites millions of fans for a common goal — FUN. The 2014 race series will consist of seven races from April-September, with MTS Nationals and Series Finals in late Fall 2014. The 2015 season will expand to 10 races.
About MTS:
Mega Trucks are the newest form of extreme motorsports. What started as highly modified pick-up trucks with big axles and tractor tires has quickly grown into an extreme form of mud racing. These trucks are built and designed to take on the nastiest terrain, from deep mud pits, to big jumps and twisted obstacle courses. Simply put, it’s a Monster Trucks with skinny tires that play in the mud! Most of these trucks are pushing upwards of 2,000 horsepower, and driven by fearless competitors.
Entertaining families with young children to teens, the one-of-a-kind custom built trucks with names like Monster Masher, Mud Stick, Air Mundy Ram and Scram and Mudweiser, Mega Trucks’ electrifying challenges include “Hill ‘N’ Hole,” deep pit challenges, and obstacle courses with insane jumps.
