Mercury Records recording artist Jennifer Nettles’ debut solo album That Girl has topped the Billboard Country album chart and taken the No. 5 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart this week. The highly anticipated solo debut release which was produced by Rick Rubin and recorded at the famous Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, Calif. was met with rave reviews.

Nettles will be performing songs from That Girl on a string of media appearances in the coming weeks including the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute concert honoring Carole King January 24, CMT’s Jennifer Nettles That Girl January 25, The Ellen DeGeneres Show January 27, The Talk January 28, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno January 29 and The Queen Latifah Show February 4.
10 of the 11 tracks on That Girl were written or co-written by Nettles and include collaborations with songwriters Butch Walker, Phillip Sweet (Little Big Town), Richard Marx and Sara Bareilles, among others. Jennifer also covers Bob Seger’s “Like A Rock”.
