Luke Combs (Photo credit: Jim Wright)

NASHVILLE, TN. — This week, Luke Combs becomes the second artist ever to top all five Billboard Country charts: Top Country Albums, Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales (all dated March 9).

The success comes on the heels of Combs’ latest single, “Beautiful Crazy,” which remains No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales charts for the second straight week. This is his fastest-rising single to date (16 weeks) and makes Combs the first artist ever to send his first five singles to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.  “Beautiful Crazy” is also the first country single shipped to radio already platinum-certified since Taylor Swift’s “Red” in 2013 and has more than 270 million on-demand streams. In celebration of these milestones, Combs recently released an acoustic version of the song. Listen/share HERE.

The achievements continue an already monumental year for the breakthrough singer, songwriter and performer, who was recently nominated for two 2019 ACM Awards (Male Artist of the Year and New Male Artist of the Year), won New Artist of the Year at “The 52nd Annual CMA Awards,” was nominated for Best New Artist at the 61st GRAMMY Awards and who recently won a CMA Triple Play Award for writing three No. 1 songs in a 12-month period.

Combs’ platinum-certified debut album, This One’s For You (River House Artists/Columbia Nashville), has spent a total of 27 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, including 16 weeks in 2018—making it the highest selling country album last year with 1.1 million equivalent album units sold and the only country album to surpass 1 million album units. It’s also the most-streamed country album of 2019 so far.

In continued support of the album, Combs is currently in the midst of his sold-out Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour — his first ever headline arena tour. Lucie Silvas Releases “Black Jeans” Music Video Via Billboard!

“..suspends temperate touches of Laurel Canyon-style psychedelia in a sublime, cinematic haze…” [‘Black Jeans’] – NPR

“Silvas’ vocal power and retro-minded influences – Motown, gospel and smoky soul, align her with show-stopping singers like Adele… positioning her as one of the strongest (and most original) voices” -Rolling Stone

“…addresses the pressures of living up to unreal expectations, especially for women…” [‘Black Jeans’] -Associated Press

(Nashville, TN-March 4, 2019)—Critically acclaimed artist Lucie Silvas releases the music video for her newest single “Black Jeans” via Billboard today. For the video, Lucie once again paired up with Jarrad K, who previously directed her video for “Kite.” Click HERE to view!

Slipping into a soulful cadence on the track, the singer’s dusty delivery evoke sixties Southern California spirit by way of Nashville. Arustle of slide guitar punctuates delicate acoustic strumming as she croons, “When I’m wearing my black jeans, maybe you won’t even recognize me, and you know I won’t just take a backseat.” An album favorite, NPR claimed that it, “suspends temperate touches of Laurel Canyon-style psychedelia in a sublime cinematic haze… and depicts the numbed self- preservation required for a woman to pursue desirability.”

A rafter-reaching vocalist, impressive multi-instrumentalist, and candid narrator, Lucie Silvas continues to endear, entrance, and engage audiences around the globe. Most recently, her 2018 offering, E.G.O., attracted widespread critical acclaim. It debuted on the coveted NPR First Listen feature, while Billboard touted her “wide stylistic reach.” Rolling Stone Country extolled how “Silvas’ vocal power and retro-minded influences – Motown, Gospel and Smoky Soul – align her with show- stopping singers like Adele…positioning her as one of the strongest (and most original) voices.” Representing a cross-section of roots, rock, pop, jazz, soul, and country, E.G.O. marks the dawn of her brightest and boldest chapter yet.

Lucie is currently on tour in North America through the summer.  See the full routing for dates below and click HERE for more info!

Kane Brown’s Gold-Certified self-titled debut album remains #1 on Billboard Top Country Albums Chart this week, marking the breakthrough singer/songwriters fourth week to top the Country Albums chart. With his return to #1, the breakthrough star becomes 2018’s first artist to achieve consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.

Remaining country’s best-selling new-artist debut of the past three years, the 24-year-old entertainer first topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart when Kane Brown debuted #1 and concurrently entered the Top 10 all-genre Billboard 200 chart in December 2006.

In October 2017, Brown made history as he revisited the top Country Album position when he released the Deluxe Edition of his self-titled album which debuted 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top 5 on Billboard 200 Charts. This same week, The singer/songwriter became the first artist ever to top all 5 Billboard  Country Charts with his breakthrough #1 Top Country Album; #1 debuting Country Digital Song, “Heaven”; and #1 Country Airplay, Hot Country Song and Country Streaming Song, the Platinum-certified “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina.  The 24-year-old entertainer also made history in 2015 when his country EP made the highest debut in the Nielsen SoundScan era.

His current single, “Heaven,” is currently #3 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Chart, #8 On Demand Country Audio Streams and Top 30-and-climbing at country radio

Less than a month ago, on Friday, December 15, the breakthrough vocalist sold out his first-ever headline arena concert at Landers Center, outside of Memphis, TN. Before 7,000-plus fans, the 24-year-old entertainer was surprised by his management, label, producer and music publishing team members who presented with a Gold RIAA certification for his self-titled debut album (and Deluxe Edition) which has accumulated over 500,000 physical sales and downloads including on-demand streams and track equivalents. Additionally, he received a plaque commemorating the history-making feat of being the first artist ever to score #1 on all 5 Billboard country charts simultaneously.

In addition to wrapping his sold-out headlining tour, Brown ended 2017 with several television appearances, including the national debut of “Heaven” on Good Morning America (December 6) as well as a performances of his #1 hit, “What Ifs” on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018” on New Year’s Eve and the CBS Special “A Home for the Holidays” (December 19), and an encore performance of “Heaven” on Good Morning America on New Year’s Day. Brown is currently opening as direct support for Chris Young’s Losing Sleep tour. Chris Stapleton Scores #1 Album

Chris Stapleton’s From A Room, Volume 1 debuted at the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart. The collection sold 219,000 units (and 202,000 in traditional album sales) to land at No. 1 on the Country chart and at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. This is the highest-selling country debut since Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights sold 320,000 in its first week in 2015. Stapleton also debuts at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart this week (Logic’s Everybody sold 196,000 in album sales, but with over 70 million streams).

Chris not only holds the top spot on the Country album chart, but he is also sitting at No. 2 with his previous album, Traveller, which sold nearly 24,000 copies this week. This marks only the second time a male artist has held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the same week since 1993 (when Garth Brooks accomplished that feat December 2016). It’s also the fourth time for any country artist since then (LeAnn Rimes in 2003 and Taylor Swift in 2009). Rounding out the Top 3 this week isKeith Urban’s Ripcord.

Stapleton says he didn’t feel any pressure for his new album even with the double-platinum success of his previous record, Traveller. “I didn’t have any expectations for the last record. I was hoping if we even sold 50,000 records, it’d be a giant victory for me as far as getting to go out and play shows and play live and keep the wheels rolling, but we did a little bit more than that,” says Chris. “So, I kind of feel the same way about this record. It’s a new record and my expectations for this record don’t have much to do with the last record. I want them to be whatever it’s gonna be for this record.

The Kentucky native, who just released his new single “Either Way,” is in the midst of headlining his All-American Road Show. He’s set to play San Diego on Thursday (May 18th), Phoenix on Friday (May 19th) and L.A. on Saturday (May 20th).
