Country Now, the first original country music and lifestyle-dedicated YouTube channel, today announced the official launch of a new, intimate, performance driven program that will be recorded live from Nashville’s historic Blackbird Studios.  The performances, combined with artist commentary, are posted weekly at http://bit.ly/1gLeAp3 and have already featured music from Casey James, newcomer Dakota Bradley, Joe Nichols, Love and Theft and Parmalee.

Songs filmed for Country Now include Parmalee’s Top Ten hit “Carolina” as well as “Day Drinkin’” and “Already Callin’ You Mine” from the group’s forthcoming December 10th release Feels Like Carolina and the Bob Seger classic “Night Moves.”  Nichols “Sunny and 75” from his latest release, Crickets, “Hee Haw”, “Footlights” and “Yeah” and songs from newcomer Dakota Bradley including “Somethin’ Like Somethin’”, “Name On It”, “Hurt Awhile” and The Black Crowes’ “Hard To Handle.”

Casey James also recently recorded “Light Years,” “Never Walk Away”, “Drive” and “She’s Money” for the show and the most recent taping featured CMA and ACM nominees Love and Theft.  They performed “Amen”, “If You Ever Get Loney,” “You Didn’t Want Me” and a special Christmas Medley.  These tapings will air beginning in December.

“’Live From Blackbird’ was designed to give Country artists the opportunity to go into an intimate studio setting and just play and engage with their fans,” said Dominic Sandifer, President Country Now/Greenlight Media & Marketing, LLC.  “The fact that we are able to broadcast this show on the first Country music dedicated YouTube channel, from an historic location that stands at the epicenter of Country music creation is truly special for the genre.”

Said John McBride, owner Blackbird Studios, “Blackbird is more than just a studio.  It’s a home for musical exploration- whether as a recording studio, a teaching academy or a performance space.  Country Now is giving lovers of country music something truly
special in ‘Live From Blackbird’ – a musical intimacy that fans rarely get
to see.”

“Live From Blackbird” is produced and directed by Stokes Nielson.
Butch Waugh and Jay Frank serve as strategic advisors for the show.
