Album Review: Chris Young | ‘A.M.’

Country hitmaker Chris Young just released his new 11-track album entitled ‘A.M.’  nationwide yesterday.

The album starts off with 2 high-octane songs with the title track “A.M.” and “Aw Naw”, my 2 favorites off the album.  If these 2 songs don’t grab your attention right off the bat, then you must be asleep or deaf!

Chris Young - A.M.Another favorite off the album is “Forgiveness”.  This mid-tempo song will touch your heart as Chris sings about finding forgiveness with someone you love.  A subject that everyone can relate to.

With his strong baritone voice, Chris is EASILY one of the, if not, THE best male vocalist in the entire country genre.  I can say that without hesitation or any doubt.  His voice is smooth, controlled and powerful.   He could sing the phone book, and STILL make it sound good! He’s just that good.  I actually consider him the George Strait of our generation.  His music will endure, and he will be around singing for many years to come stacking up #1 hits all along the way.  I think he has 5 to his name already, if I’m not mistaken.  Just watch! He is a country superstar in the making as he thrills audiences nationwide with his charismatic stage presence and magnificent voice on his current tour with Brad Paisley.

In short, the entire album is STELLAR! It is filled with hit after hit of songs that will touch your heart or make you want to dance and sing along.  The songs are well-written, and he sings them all with a natural ease emoting them effortlessly.  I can’t possibly find any fault with this album.   To do so would just be wrong.  Traditional and new country lovers alike will find something on this album that they will enjoy.  I strongly encourage you to grab yourself a copy quickly.  This is one of the very best albums that I have had the pleasure to listen to this year, and should garner him plenty of ACM and CMA nominations.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars.
