I want to mention some of my favorite, up-and-coming artists right now. These 5 are who I’m listening to and I think each of them is poised to make a big splash onto the country music scene. If you haven’t heard of them yet, you will. I promise! Each amazingly-talented in their own right and bring something just a little bit different to the genre.
Kree Harrison: You’ll recognize her as the runner-up on ‘American Idol’ this year. She’s real, a beautiful soul and pure traditional country.
Maggie Rose: Powerful country/bluesy voice. Get to know her! She shines best when she’s on stage in front of a live crowd whether it’s acoustic or full band. Full of charisma, poise and just plain fun!
Dean Alexander: He’s not out on the radio just yet, but he’s set to take the country genre by storm and he’ll make the ladies swoon! With an easy smile, smooth & powerful vocals, shredding the guitar and a great suit on. He’s sure to win many fans!
Kacey Musgraves: Love her style of songwriting. It’s playful, with a twist and honest. Her vocals flow and have an easy power, too.
Striking Matches: If you’re a fan of the tv show ‘Nashville’, you’ll recognize a couple of their songs sung by Scarlette and Gunner. Incredible musicianship mixed with songs that will touch your soul.
Look out for them, ya’ll! They’ve all got something quite special and refreshing. Just what country needs!
