As Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) teased on social media last week, fans are just days away from a taste of the duo’s brand new music. “Tequila,” their first offering in nearly a year, will be available to radio and all streaming partners this Wednesday, January 10. Co-written by Smyers alongside Jordan Reynolds and Nicolle Galyon, the reflective single is much more than just your typical drinking song.

The breakout duo are amping up the momentum from an exceptional 2017, which saw them amass more than 230 million streams, sell out shows in four international territories and earn a half-dozen award nominations – all between celebrating two marriages and a baby. The first new country duo in SoundScan recorded history to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart, Dan + Shay collected their second RIAA Platinum certification in 2017 for “From The Ground Up,” the first single off of their sophomore Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville release Obsessed. Soon after they notched their third consecutive No. 1 song with the Gold-certified “How Not To.”

Dan + Shay are currently in the studio working on their upcoming project, due later this year.

Current multi-CMA nominee and ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year THOMAS RHETT’s career continues to skyrocket as “Unforgettable” hits No. 1 today on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts, reaching the top in just 14 weeks as the fastest-peaking song of his career so far. The “charming” (Rolling Stone) single is also holding the No. 1 spot for the third straight week on the Mediabase Canada Country chart. “Unforgettable” is the second single from Thomas Rhett’s Billboard 200 chart-topping release LIFE CHANGES (The Valory Music Co.), marking the third No. 1 this year and the ninth of his career.

“This is a really cool way to kick off CMA week,” said Thomas Rhett. “It’s always a good week because everyone is in town, we all get to see each other, hangout backstage at the show, but to also find out ‘Unforgettable’ is No. one is awesome.”

Thomas Rhett is currently nominated for three CMA Awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video of the Year for the No. 1 GOLD-certified lead track “Craving You” as well as an American Music Award for Favorite Country Male Artist. In September, Thomas Rhett released his third album LIFE CHANGES, the biggest, boldest-sounding record of his career, filled with a diverse batch of songs united by the “consistency of their craft” (Variety) as he stretches his sound to new limits. Highlighting his “detailed style of songwriting” (Rolling Stone), the new release debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking the first Country release to take the top spot in 2017.  He recently announced his headlining LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018, following his in-demand HOME TEAM TOUR which has sold out 27 stops so far this year and continues this week in Europe. Nashville-Based Rock Band SWEETTALKER Releases “Black Magic” In Time For Halloween

Nashville-based roots rock band, SWEETTALKER, just released a new single, “Black Magic”, on October 26th.

The dark, riffy, hard driving rock song is a nod back to timeless classic rockers, punk and psychedelic rock bands.  The song is about being unable to shake the “spell” that an ex-lover casts upon you as they re-appear in your life just when you least expect it never quite allowing you to forget them as you are drawn back into their “web”.  Something I think most can relate to if you have ever had an ex you find difficult to get over when they keep re-appearing in your life.

They first hit the Nashville scene in early 2016, and can best be described as root rock revival of warm and vintage sounds filled with hard driving guitar riffs.

SWEETTALKER got their name from the mom of one of the band members saying out of frustration that they would probably become a car salesman one day because could sweet talk their way out of almost anything or into it as a young kid.  Looking for a catchy name, it just seemed to be the perfect fit for the band and it stuck.

SWEETTALKER have spent the past two years touring all over the Southeast and Midwest U.S., honing their craft and growing their fanbase.

Catch them in a city near you as they set out in support of their new single, “Black Magic”.

Lady A’s “Heart Break” Beats At Country Radio Now

The empowering call of independence found in the title-track of of Lady Antebellum’s CMA “Album of the Year” nominated and No. One selling album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), serves as the new single from the multi-PLATINUM trio. Produced by busbee and written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Jesse Frasure and Nicolle Galyon, “Heart Break” provides “a bedrock for the entire record” (Paste) as “Scott takes satisfaction in feminine independence” (NPR) with “a touch of darkness and a clever play on words,” (Rolling Stone).

“A while ago I had written down the lyrics ‘heart break summer’ with the idea of what its like to detox from relationships for awhile,” said Dave Haywood. “Once we all got in the room together, it really evolved into a these identifiable lyrics that I think anyone can relate too. “

“Navigating the newly single life with simultaneous confidence and loneliness” (Omaha World-Herald), “Heart Break” has been dubbed a key track off the album by fans and critics, as the Washington Post predicts “with a catchy hook and chorus, fans will be singing along to this in no time.” Its “themes of independence” (CMT) caught the attention of O! Magazine’s Gayle King who vouched, “the title-track is hands down my favorite. It’s not about a ruined romance, but rather putting your heart on pause.”

If lovin’ was money, how much you think we’ve made

What would you do if someone STOLE your most valuable possessions?

Zane Williams wrote them a song and shared it on social media!

Country music singer/songwriter Zane Williams and his band fell prey to a random act of “unkindness” this weekend when they stopped for lunch just outside of Houston, TX.  The musicians’ van and the trailer full of equipment and instruments were stolen from the parking lot of the restaurant where they had stopped for a bite to eat.   In true Zane Williams fashion, the prolific songwriter penned a tune speaking directly to the thieves and posted his calm, yet stern, acoustic delivery on his social media pages.  We have been informed that the trailer has been located and recovered, but the van containing some heirloom instruments remains stolen.

You can see and hear Zane’s performance here:  https://youtu.be/2DicXacaBtI

Please help us support Zane and the band by sharing this release.

Album Review: The Dirt Drifters “This Is My Blood”

Rarely do I hear an album that I want to listen to each song and not skip over, at least, one or two of the songs.  I mean, that’s normal.  You’re just not going to love every song on an album.  There’s always a weak one.  Always.  No matter how much you like a certain artist’s music, there’s always a weak one that you don’t like as much as the rest of the songs on the album and you skip over it.  It’s only natural.
