Jason Aldean, Night Train TourACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean is gearing up for his biggest tour to date, and one of the most anticipated of this year, as 19 buses and trucks and over 100 band and crewmembers roll into Bossier City, LA tonight for the first show of the 2013 Night Train Tour‘s sold out run. Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett are set to open the tour that has already sold over 350,000 tickets for the first dates.

“We’ve been down in Tupelo, MS the last week or so getting ready,” said Aldean. “It’s like Christmas with all the new toys we’ve got on stage…I don’t even understand how my crew makes all this happen night after night, but it’s awesome. I’m pumped about the new songs we’ve added to the set, and everything just feels fresh and exciting. I wasn’t sure how we would top the My Kinda Party tour, but I feel pretty certain we’ve done it.”

“1994” embraces hip-hop elements and takes listeners on a fun journey through the year Aldean was a senior in high school, Justin Bieber was born, OJ Simpson’s white Bronco sped across the nation’s TV screens and a gallon of gas only cost $1.09. When Aldean first heard the demo of the song, written by Barry Dean, Luke Laird and Thomas Rhett, he nearly fell out of his chair laughing and knew it was something totally different that he wanted to take a crack at recording for the record.

Jason Aldean’s “Night Train” Is Certified PLATINUM Just 4 Weeks After Release

Aldean to Perform on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013

Award winning entertainer Jason Aldean is wrapping up a record-breaking year with news of PLATINUM certification for his latest album Night Train, which earned the status officially just four weeks after its Oct. 16 release.  The album that Entertainment Weekly described as EPIC hit big out of the gate, debuting at No. one on the Billboard Top 200 and doubling the first week sales numbers of his previous album, the Double Platinum My Kinda Party.

Additionally, Aldean will join a lineup that includes Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Pitbull and Psy to ring in the New Year with a three song performance on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013.  The legendary special airs Mon., Dec 31 beginning at 10:00pm ET on ABC.

Aldean’s second single off Night Train, “The Only Way I Know” feat. Luke Bryan and Eric Church, is currently climbing up the Top 15 on the Billboard chart.  The album’s lead single, “Take A Little Ride,” spent three weeks at No. one to become the longest running chart-topper of the year and Aldean’s sixth consecutive No. one single.
