Middle Tennessee’s third annual “Stars for Wishes” will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The star-studded evening will include performances by Journey’s Jonathan Cain and country star Gary Allan.

Monday, Jan. 12 is the deadline to purchase $499 regular rate registrations for Country Radio Seminar 2015. The on-site rate will take effect on Jan. 13, increasing registrations to $599 per person.
On Aug. 12, 2015, The Charlie Daniels Band’s legendary Volunteer Jam, a star-studded, multi-genre musical extravaganza that has featured artists like James Brown, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, Don Henley and Lynyrd Skynyrd (to name a few), returns to Nashville. In addition to The Charlie Daniels Band, the highly-anticipated 40th anniversary event will bring a slew of special guests to Bridgestone Arena, including Billy Ray Cyrus, Kentucky Headhunters, Montgomery Gentry, the Outlaws, Lee Roy Parnell and Travis Tritt, with even more exciting artist announcements coming soon. And, because this is THE Volunteer Jam, ticket holders can expect a few BIG surprises from unannounced acts.
The Wild West Comedy Festival will return to Nashville for its second year with an all-star line-up, it was announced by Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Productions and Outback Concerts. The 2015 festival beginsWednesday, April 14 and runs through Sunday, April 19. Tickets are on sale as of today, at www.wildwestcomedyfestival.com.
City Winery, the unique 300-seat music venue with locations in NY, Chicago, Napa and Nashville, has announced today a major innovation with its mobile ticketing program. The “luxury concert venue,” founded by Knitting Factory founder Michael Dorf, released the “seat-picking” system when it launched its own proprietary ticketing platform in 2008. Since then, the company has experienced tremendous growth in sales with upwards of 300,000 tickets selling a year and 90% of the 300-seat shows selling out on a monthly basis—all tickets sold through their own website.

If you’re new to the area or from out of town, it’s simply a must-see! The AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN AWARDS, based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show, “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” which has recognized the best in country radio for more than 40 years, today announced the inaugural event’s finalists. Country megastar Luke Bryandominates the list with seven nods, followed closely by superstar duo Florida Georgia Line, with six. Florida Georgia Line and Kix Brooks made the announcement on Cumulus radio’s nationally syndicated show, “America’s Morning Show with Blair Garner.”
“One of country’s hottest buzz bands” (Taste of Country), newcomersOld Dominion lit up the stage to a packed house at Nashville’s Mercy Lounge on Wednesday, Nov. 19 to celebrate the release of their self-titled debut EP (Oct. 7 digital release; ReeSmack/Thirty Tigers), produced by critically-acclaimed writer and producer Shane McAnally. The release party, presented by WSIX, was hosted by radio personality Cody Alan and celebrated new music as well as their versions of hits they have collectively penned for other artists like Dierks Bentley, Craig Morgan and The Band Perry.
