Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, hosted an exclusive sold-out concert event at City Winery on October 26th to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its music programs in Nashville. The event was presented by National Geographic, who has teamed up with MOC to specifically support its Bedside Performance Programs that serve Veterans across the country. The sold-out crowd were treated to a star-studded lineup featuring a headlining performance by seven-time Grammy award winning group Lady Antebellum and performances from Charles Esten, Brandon Ray, The Railers, Filmore, and Chuck Wicks, plus a special appearance by Peter Frampton. The night was hosted by iHeartMedia’s Nationally-Syndicated On-Air Personality and MOC Board Member Bobby Bones and will focused on celebrating how MOC uses music to spread joy and healing.

The night featured special spotlight on Musicians On Call’s recent trip to Las Vegas, where they brought Nashville musicians to deliver the healing power of music to patients, families, and caregivers affected by the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. In a heartfelt tribute, Filmore, The Railers, and Charles Esten revisited their experiences performing for caregivers and patients and performed for the audience the songs they played in Las Vegas. “Our 10th Anniversary was not only a celebration of a milestone, but an opportunity to thank all of our amazing volunteers, supporters and partners that helped us get there,” said Pete Griffin, Musicians On Call President. “The fact that we raised over $260,000 to support our programs is a testament to how much this Nashville community believes in the healing power of music.”

In addition, Pete Griffin presented Executive Vice President, Katy Epley, with a commemorative RIAA plaque in appreciation for her ten-year commitment to the organization.

Warner Music Teams With Musicians On Call For Artist Hospital Visits

Musicians On Call (MOC), a groundbreaking nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in hospitals across the country, continued its celebration of the 10th Anniversary in Nashville by teaming up with Warner Music Nashville to launch its Bedside Performance Program at its 10th Hospital in Nashville at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. TriStar Centennial Medical Center hosted the celebration featuring performances from Warner Music Nashville recording artists Michael Ray and Ryan Kinder. Warner Music Nashville COO, Matt Signore, and SVP Artist Development, Shane Tarleton, were on hand to show their support of Musicians On Call’s 10th Anniversary by presenting a check for $10,000 to support the new program. Following the program, Michael Ray and Ryan Kinder performed the first Bedside Performance Program within the new orthopedic patient unit, where Michael Ray suprised patients with acoustic renditions of his hits “Kiss You In The Morning” and “Think a Little Less” and Ryan Kinder performed “Still Believe in Crazy Love” and “Close.”  In addition to the support of the 10th Hospital Launch, Warner Music Nashville employees embarked on a volunteer initiative throughout the day where they volunteered at Musicians On Call programs throughout Nashville.

 

The new Bedside Performance Program takes place at TriStar Centennial Nashville’s brand new orthopedic patient unit, which held its formal ribbon cutting on Monday. The 7th floor orthopedic unit, where the Warner Music Artist visited, is phase 1 of a $98 million-dollar campus expansion and modernization project and includes 29 patient rooms.  The multi-phase project is scheduled to be fully completed in the Summer 2018. This program marks the third Bedside Performance Program MOC will have within the HCA system, where they have already played for nearly 10,000 patients, families and caregivers since 2013 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center Women’s and Children’s Hospitals and Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at TriStar Centennial. Musicians On Call’s other hospital partners include Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Nashville Community Care & Rehabilitation at Bordeaux, VA Tennessee Valley Health Care System (Nashville and Murfreesboro Campuses), Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital, and Alive Hospice.

Musicians On Call Kicks Off Nashville 10th Anniversary Celebration Week With Exclusive Auction

Musicians On Call (MOC) kicked off their four-city Rock The Room Tour last night with a truly special evening that raised over $130K for the organization, the largest amount raised by any event held in Nashville. MOC, a groundbreaking nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities across the country, created their first national expansion to Nashville in 2007 making it the obvious first choice to kick off the tour and the sold-out event at City Winery last night did not disappoint.

Tin Pan South Partners With Musicians On Call

imageEach year, the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival Presented by Regions Bank donates proceeds from the door of one show to a designated charity, and organizers are pleased to name Musicians On Call as the beneficiary of the 23rd annual event. The special round is scheduled to feature Rodney Clawson, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley at 6:30pm on Friday, March 27, at The Listening Room Cafe.
