ORLANDO, FL (August 17, 2020): Today, MTN DEW is announcing a challenge for fans to “Claim the Outdoors” for a chance to win epic prizing, including a brand new coveted 2021 Ford Bronco presented by #1 Country duo LOCASH. During a summer of indoor activities, people all over the country have been yearning for the outdoor experiences they traditionally love so much. DEW surveyed their consumers and found fans traditionally spent their time with motorsports, hiking, fishing, and biking, so to celebrate fans interests and give them the opportunity to safely enjoy their favorite activities, “Claim the Outdoors” was born. With outdoors time more meaningful than ever, DEW is ready to celebrate all DEW Nation outdoor activities.

Starting today, August 17 all you have to do is scan the QR code at retail or enter at DewClaimTheOutdoors.com for a chance at epic, one of a kind prizing. Then, go on social media and share a picture or video of how you #ClaimtheOutdoors.

MTN DEW Announces Nashville Tornado Relief Livestream Showcase With LOCASH, Tyler Farr, Lindsay Ell And More On March 24

March 12, 2020 – As the nation continues to mourn the tragic loss of life and devastation across many communities in Tennessee caused by destructive tornadoes last week, relief efforts are greatly needed, and many are currently already underway locally.  PepsiCo’s MTN DEW brand, which was born in Tennessee more than 80 years ago, wants to chip in on the recovery of its home state by putting on a free livestream (filmed from The George Jones in Nashville), with the hope of raising money for Team Rubicon Relief Efforts within Nashville and surrounding areas.

MTN DEW will match all donations up to $50,000 on the night of the livestream. Fans are encouraged to enjoy the musical showcase and make donations by tuning into the iHeartMedia livestream.

“MTN DEW has such a rich history in Tennessee and we are just heart-broken by the loss of life and sheer destruction caused by these storms,” said Chauncey Hamlett, CMO, PepsiCo Beverages North America, South Division.  “The nation is mourning, our local communities, our South Division employees in the area are in a tremendous amount of pain, so we knew we had to help in any way we could.”

“Nashville is our home – it’s where we live, raise our families, and write and create music,” said Preston Brust of LOCASH.  “Chris and I wanted to help our beautiful city, state and community, and when we heard that the folks at MTN DEW were looking to help raise some money and give people an opportunity to start the healing and rebuilding process, we of course jumped at the chance.” 

“After the tornado struck Middle Tennessee last week, it was inspiring to see Nashville and its surrounding communities come together and become a family,” said Tyler Farr. “I’m very blessed and thankful to be a part of the Nashville and Middle Tennessee community.”

“Nashville has been my home for the last couple of years and I am deeply thankful for the first responders and volunteers who were at the scene lending a hand to everyone effected by this tragedy,” said Caleb Lee Hutchinson.  “It has been incredible seeing the amount of people stepping up to help in times of tragedy and I wanted to do anything I could to help out as well.”

MTN DEW “The Tennessee Original Outpost” With LOCASH, Lindsay Ell, Amy Brown And More!

On October 22nd, as part of its “Tennessee Original” campaign, MTN DEW transformed Nashville’s world-famous Ole Red into “The Tennessee Original Outpost.” The epic celebration on Lower Broadway turned Ole Red DEW-Green and featuredlocal artists, musicians and makers from Tennessee to celebrate MTN DEW’s home-state pride.  The MTN DEW takeover was hosted by Nashville’s very own Amy Brown of The Bobby Bones Show. The celebration event kicked off with a private partywhere Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of LOCASH performed an acoustic set featuring their hit song “I Know Somebody.” The country music duoshared their excitement around celebrating “The Tennessee Original Outpost” with MTN DEW in Nashville. Lindsay Ell also made a special appearance and was seen taking photos with fans at Ole Red’s The Lookout.  

Later in the evening, Lindsay Ell took the main stage to pump up the crowd playing songs like “Waiting On You”and “What Happens In A Small Town.” LOCASH then gave an epic main stage performance which featured their hits “Feels Like A Party” and “One Big Country Song” to which fans knew every word.To close out the night, LOCASH shared the stage with Lindsay Ell, who joined in to sing their hit song “I Love This Life.”

MTN DEW Servin’ Up Home-State Pride With “The Tennessee Original Outpost”

Tennessee-born beverage transforming Nashville’s Ole Red into green “The Tennessee Original Outpost” celebrating fans, makers and artists from across the state; Musical line-up led by Tennessee-based country duo LOCASH and more

Oct. 8, 2019 – In 1940 MTN DEW was born out of an act of refreshment rebellion and since then, has kept the rebel charge alive for fans across the country. Nearly 80 years later, MTN DEW is going back to its roots to celebrate with the DEW Nation, and the dynamic, trail-blazin’ makers and artists that call Tennessee home.  MTN DEW will turn Nashville destination Ole Red, DEW-green and feature epic DEW X “Tennessee Original” experiences and live performances.  In the days leading up to the Oct. 22 event, MTN DEW will hit the road, popping up at select Food City locations across the state, where fans who locate LOCASH-autographed DEW cans throughout the store, will win an all-expenses paid trip to “The Tennessee Original Outpost.”

“MTN DEW has such a rich history in Tennessee and we are excited to not only celebrate that heritage but also give DEW Nation fans living there, a day dedicated to their great home state,” Chauncey Hamlett, Vice President of Marketing South Division, Mountain Dew said. “We have so much fun evolving and introducing new DEW options but at the end of the day, we wouldn’t be here without our Tennessee original and we cannot wait to celebrate with the fans.”

“The Tennessee Original Outpost” will be live on October 22 from 11a.m. – 9p.m. CT.  Throughout the celebration, fans can get their hands on specialty items like DEW-branded leather goods, mural painting with East Side Murals and enjoy a line-up of TN-born or bred live musical acts, including country duo LOCASH, Matt Rogers, Garrett Speer and Casee Allen.  Fans will also get to try out specialty DEW cocktails. 

Starting on October 12, three fans at each Food City stop across Tennessee will win a trip to MTN DEW’s “The Tennessee Original Outpost” by locating LOCASH-autographed DEW cans throughout the respective stores.  At each pop-up celebration, fans will also get a chance to sample the latest offerings from MTN DEW and win cool prizes.
