Pandora Live Shines With First All-Female Line-Up

On Monday, June 3rd, Pandora returned to town with their annual CMA Fest week event, Pandora Live, at the beautiful and historic Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

This year’s event featured crowd-pleasing performances by Maren Morris, Lindsay Ell, and Tenille Townes, the first all-female line-up in the history of the event in Nashville.

Always a popular, free event, this year’s Pandora Live set record numbers in attendance. The line to get inside the venue wrapped around the block at Marathon Village as music fans stood patiently in line for hours prior fighting the heat and humidity just for the opportunity to see the show.

The crowd was not disappointed and the record-setting concert in attendance featuring the all-female line-up demonstrated that country music fans WILL show up in droves and certainly DO want to hear from the many talented female artists in country music. Hope you are taking notice, country radio! This is a conversation that has continued for too long among the industry and fans alike. Happy to see Pandora, CMT, and more featuring and supporting women. Each of the three artists featured are also members of CMT Next Women of Country.

GRAMMY winner Maren Morris closed out the night as headliner and was joined on-stage at one point by country artist and boyfriend, Ryan Hurd, to sing “All My Favorite People”. ACM Award nominee Lindsay Ell always stuns with her stellar electric guitar skills. She has grown so much as an artist, has really found her voice, and gained strong stage presence as a performer gaining experience as she continuously tours all over the world. New artist Tenille Townes always delights the crowd with her sweet, approachable presence and unique vocals.

Preceeding the musical performances, fans had an opportunity to taste some Twisted Tea posing with their fun photo opportunity simulating floating on water, nibble on some fresh Krystal cheeseburgers and fried apple pies, sample some Burt’s Bees products, make their own crown at Baskin-Robbins, pose for a picture with the USAA photo opportunity that included a giant acoustic guitar, and even get a shave or haircut at the mobile barber shop from Cremo, and free giveaways from Shipt. All thanks to these generous sponsors, which is always a fun interactive experience that changes up at each of the Pandora Live events.

Be sure to download the free Pandora app on your phones at Google Play or Apple store. I know it is a favorite of mine to listen to, especially as I’m walking or by the pool.

Pandora LIVE ft. Maren Morris, Lindsay Ell & Tenille Townes; Pandora Listeners Can RSVP To Attend

No halos will be lost when Pandora hosts Pandora LIVE in Nashville on June 3rd at Marathon Music Works.  Maren Morris, along with Lindsay Ell and Tenille Townes will celebrate a night of trail-blazing, female empowerment at the free concert.  The all-female bill is in response for a call to action from many artists, including Maren herself, that women in country music need more representation in Nashville and beyond.  Any Pandora listener can RSVP HERE.

Maren Morris’ performance will broadcast live on SiriusXM’s The Highway channel at 10:00 pm ET, marking the first Pandora LIVE event to broadcast on SiriusXM since Pandora was acquired earlier this year.

Maren Morris has over 484 million lifetime streams on Pandora, which helped her newest album GIRL shatter the record for largest ever debut streaming week for a country album by a woman.  The Grammy Award, Billboard Music Award, ACM Music Award, CMA Music Award and iHeartRadio Music Award winner is known for her pop aesthetic, unapologetic style and has quickly become the new face of modern country.

Lindsay Ell saw her full length country album debut The Project named Billboard’s Best Country Album of 2017.  Additionally, her song “Criminal” marked her first U.S. Top 20 and was the first No. 1 song in over 10 years by a solo female on the Canadian Country Radio Chart.  As if those feats weren’t enough, she’s quickly earned 47.6 million lifetime streams on Pandora as well as toured with Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Sugarland and more, solidifying her as a standout in the genre.

Opening act Tenille Townes is quickly gaining ground in the country world after being on the road last year with Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town helping her earn over 5 million lifetime streams on Pandora.  With her first single “Somebody’s Daughter” hitting the No. 1 spot at Canadian country radio, Tenille became the first Canadian country artist to have a debut single go No. 1 in the Mediabase Canada era.  She’s currently on tour with Dierks Bentley and a part of Opry Entertainment’s “Opry NextStage” program for 2019 which only highlights 4 rising country artists a year.

“Maren helped us kick off our Sound On campaign earlier this year and we’re thrilled to have her mainstage for Pandora LIVE,” says Jeff Zuchowski, Vice President of Label Relations at Pandora. “The triple threat of her, Lindsay and Tenille will make for an extraordinary evening for Pandora listeners.”

Pandora will build out a multi-level interactive event for guests including unique onsite experiences and giveaways.  Pandora LIVE sponsors for this event include Baskin-Robbins®, Burt’s Bees®, Cremo®, Shipt, Spindrift® sparkling water, The Krystal Company, Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea and USAA.

Maren Morris Lands 1st Career #1 Song At Country Radio, Most Heard Female Artist On Country Radio In 2017

Columbia Nashville GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Maren Morris scores her first No. 1 song, as both solo performer and songwriter, with her co-penned “I Could Use A Love Song” on the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country charts this week.

The song that The New York Times touts as “phenomenal” and “a meditative plaint with clear passion” has struck a chord with country radio listeners, carrying the Jimmy Robbins, Laura Veltz and Morris written song to the top.

Morris has much to celebrate. Not only was she the most heard female artist on country radio in 2017, she also finished the year by garnering her fifth career GRAMMY Award-nomination with the newly No. 1 hit “I Could Use A Love Song” being nominated for BEST COUNTRY SOLO PERFORMANCE for the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards to be held later this month.

Morris kicked off the release of “I Could Use A Love Song,” her third single from her critically acclaimed label debut album HERO, by announcing the new single from the stage of the New Faces In Country Music showcase at the annual Country Radio Seminar last year in Nashville, TN, where Morris performed in front of a packed house of country radio representatives from all over the globe. It was noted that evening that Morris was the first artist in eight years to perform on the New Faces stage after winning a GRAMMY since Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum in 2009.

It has almost been two years (January 20, 2016) since Morris made country radio history with her debut single, the GRAMMY Award-winning “My Church,” having 107 first week country radio chart reporting stations playing the new song; making “My Church” the highest charting debut single by a female in Country Aircheck’s Mediabase history.

Morris continues to prove that when it comes to her work as a singer/songwriter there may not be a ceiling, time limit, or any other boundary that can contain the art that she has on the horizon.
