Tyminski’s “Wanted” And “Temporary Love” Performances On ABC’s Good Morning America

Tyminski (Dan Tyminski) made his solo morning TV debut on ABC’s Good Morning America yesterday with his performance of “Wanted” from his critically acclaimed album Southern Gothic. The 14-time Grammy winner also performed “Temporary Love.”

The release of Southern Gothic led to an immediate reaction from the press and fans alike, garnering impressive remarks from The New York Times, NPR: All Things Considered, Entertainment Weekly and No Depression. Tyminski performed “Southern Gothic” on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The song was also named one of The New York Times’ 54 Best Songs of 2017.

A Rutland, Vermont native, Tyminski co-wrote Southern Gothic with top songwriters including Sarah Buxton (“Stupid Boy”), Josh Kear (“Need You Now”), Cary Barlowe (“American Honey”), Andrew Dorff (“Neon Light”), Amy Wadge (“Thinking Out Loud”) and Southern Gothic producer Jesse Frasure (“Dirt On My Boots”).

Tyminski has always been drawn to Southern singers including Jimmy Martin, Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice. As a child, he found himself not only mimicking their southern singing voices, but also teaching himself how to play banjo by ear. A 25-year member of Alison Krauss’ Union Station, Tyminski is also the singing voice of George Clooney’s character in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? for which he won two Grammy Awards including Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for the single “I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow” and Album of the Year for the soundtrack which sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

In 2014 after lending his vocals to Avicii’s international pop hit “Hey Brother,” which went #1 in at least 18 countries and has global streams of over 1.1 billion and downloads of 5.3 million, Tyminski began to realize that he could fit outside of his acoustic music box. With Southern Gothic, Tyminski has crafted an American quilt of music that is a melding of genres and in which the symbolism of light and dark seem to always be at odds.

Tyminski is currently on tour in support of Southern Gothic with more dates to be added. Additional videos for “Wanted” and “Temporary Love” can be viewed here and here.

Multi-PLATINUM selling entertainer Brett Young will perform his No. 1, GOLD-certified hit “Like I Loved You” tomorrow January 11 on Good Morning America. Continuing to take “Country radio by storm” (Billboard), the hit marks Young’s third No. 1, which climbed to the top spot on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts where it has remained for the past three weeks. Tune-In to ABC (check local listings) at 7:00AM ET/CT to watch.

The current No. 1 on Shazam’s Country Chart, Marie Claire named “Like I Loved You” as the top Country Song of 2017 Worth Listening To. The trajectory follows his previous chart-toppers – PLATINUM-selling lead single “Sleep Without You” and 2X PLATINUM smash “In Case You Didn’t Know,” the first Country song released in 2017 to reach PLATINUM-certification status and one of only two Country songs released last year to earn the honor.

It was also announced today that Young earned a 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination for Best New Country Artist, a nod to his skyrocketing career.

“Destined for mass appeal,” (Rolling Stone) Young released his “soothing, approachable” (New York Times) self-titled debut album on BMLG Records. The GOLD-certified album became an instant success, leading to breakout hit “In Case You Didn’t Know” being listed in The New York Times 54 Best Songs of 2017, touted as “one of this year’s most impressive pop songs.” Amazon Music named the track as the Top Country Song of 2017 while Pandora listeners also recognized Young’s debut in the Top 50 of their all-genre Top Thumb Hundred list. The song’s official music video was greeted with matched enthusiasm, surpassing 160 million+ views since its release and landing among Vevo’s top all-genre videos of 2017. Young is also the only artist to have two videos on Vevo’s Top Country Videos chart for 2017.

Young launched his own headlining CALIVILLE TOUR in October, selling out every stop following runs with Country’s hottest including Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett. His momentum continued throughout 2017, landing on multiple Billboard Year End charts and being the only Country talent on the Top New Artists. He also took the No. 2 spot on the Year End Hot Country Songs, Country Digital Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts. ASCAP recognized his “quintessential breakout year,” honoring Young for one of the Most Played Songs of the Year with “Sleep Without You.” Young was named a Ticketmaster New Favorite Artist of 2017, Rare Country’s Best New Artist and was Shazam’s only Country act included on their Emerging Artists of 2017 list. He also drew prestigious CMA, ACM, Teen Choice Award, CMT Music Awards and AIMP Award nominations.

Fans can catch Young on January 17 in Riviera Maya, Mexico for Luke Bryan’s CRASH MY PLAYA Festival before joining Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018. For additional information, visit: brettyoungmusic.com.
