The Georgia Music Foundation and Jameson® Irish Whiskey have announced the “Jameson Peach Jam,” a celebration of Georgia’s hitmakers at The George Jones Rooftop Bar in Nashville on Tuesday, March 21 (7:30 PM/CT).
The “Jameson Peach Jam” is the official kick-off for the “Fourth Annual Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind” benefit concert hosted by the Peach Pickers and featuring special guests on Tuesday, May 16 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. “Adding a second night of Georgia-bred music in Nashville was a direct result of the popularity and success of ‘Georgia On My Mind,'” said Dallas Davidson, a member of the Peach Pickers and chair of the Georgia Music Foundation. “There’s so much homegrown talent in Georgia that our Ryman show could go all night, but instead we are partnering with our friends at Jameson to create a second event spotlighting Peach State songwriters and one of Jameson’s emerging artists.” Songwriters participating in the “Jameson Peach Jam” include Pat Alger, Tony Arata, Trea Landon, Jon Langston, Cole Taylor, and special guests. It’s fitting to host Georgians at The George Jones! The venue celebrates the legacy of its namesake through live music every day, great food, and a rooftop bar with one of the best views of Nashville. The state-of-the-art museum gives visitors a rare glimpse into the personal and professional life of country music icon, George Jones. Tickets for the “Jameson Peach Jam” cost $10 and proceeds benefit the Georgia Music Foundation. Tickets are available now via https://www.xorbia.com/events/georgiamusicfoundation/jameson-peach-jam.
The Peach Pickers – Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, and Ben Hayslip – will once again assemble a star-studded group of friends to celebrate the music of their home state during the “Fourth Annual Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind” benefit concert May 16 at the Ryman Auditorium. Tickets are $52.50 and $42.50 and are available via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, ryman.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000. The first round of artists will be announced soon, but tickets often sell out early as fans have come to expect last-minute announcements and surprise guests. Over the past three years, friends joining the Peach Pickers have included Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Big Boi of Outkast, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Laura Alaina, Brent Cobb, and many more. About the “Jameson Peach Jam” Songwriters: Pat Alger and Tony Arata have certainly made their marks on Nashville since arriving from Georgia three decades ago. Among Alger’s many chart-toppers are Garth Brooks’ “Unanswered Prayers” and “The Thunder Rolls,” while Arata penned Brooks’ smash hits”The Dance” and “Here I Am” for Patty Loveless. About the Georgia Music Foundation: Proceeds from the “Jameson Peach Jam” and “Georgia On My Mind” benefit the Georgia Music Foundation, which supports programs of music preservation, education, and outreach. With proceeds from the first three years of “Georgia On My Mind,” the Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $150,000 to music programs at Georgia schools and non-profits. About the Peach Pickers: The Peach Pickers – all Georgia natives – have accumulated more than 70 No. 1 songs collectively and individually since 2010, and earned numerous awards and accolades.
