Gary Allan Kicks Off Album Release With Free Live Show In Nashville- June 25

NASHVILLE, TN – June 17, 2021 – To celebrate the release of his highly anticipated new album, RUTHLESS (EMI Records Nashville) out on June 25, the multi-platinum-selling country music renegade Gary Allan will perform a special free one-hour live concert at Nashville’s newest performance space, Assembly Hall on Friday, June 25 at 8:00pm CT, located in the new Fifth + Broadway complex in downtown Nashville. Fans will get to hear Allan perform a selection of songs from RUTHLESS along with some of his biggest chart-topping hits, and as a bonus will also be able to enjoy a tasting of Allan’s WEED Cellars whiskey brand which will be available at the venue. CMT Hosts Free Events In Nashville Beginning June 3 To Celebrate The “CMT Music Awards”

1-5 p.m.        CMT AND THE PEDIGREE BRAND’S FIRST-EVER “PAWS & PLAY” MUSIC FESTIVAL

CMT and the PEDIGREE brand are teaming up for the first “Paws & Play” Music Festival in Nashville on Sunday, June 3. The free event is the official kickoff to “CMT Music Awards” week and celebrates the role four-legged family members play in making lives better. Dogs (and their humans) can participate in a number of family-friendly events, including performances by country singer/songwriter, The Voice champion and CMT Music Award winner Cassadee Pope, doggie yoga, canine massage, games, photo opps, food trucks, a beer and wine garden and much more. The event is hosted in association with adoption partner, Nashville Humane Association, who will feature adoptable dogs onsite looking for fur-ever homes. No RSVP necessary.

Looking For Something Fun To Do? Red Bull’s Flugtag Is Taking Flight In Nashville On Saturday, Sep. 23rd

On Saturday, September 23rd, Red Bull’s Flugtag event comes to downtown Nashville’s Riverfront Park beginning at 11am.

What is Flugtag exactly? Thirty plus teams enter the hilarious, over-the-top competition, presented by Red Bull and sponsored by local businesses like the new entertainment venue Topgolf, to create a human-powered aircraft operated by one pilot attempting to break the 258 foot flight launch record.  Teams will help launch the aircraft off a 24-foot flight deck situated over the Cumberland River.  Crowds this year can expect to see everything from Dolly Parton, a slice of pizza, and a giant roller skate.

The last Red Bull Flugtag event in Nashville happened exactly 10 years ago and drew a crowd of over 80,000. 

There is also a panel of local celebrity judges on hand to help select the winner.

 

Topgolf Nashville will commemorate its opening on Sept. 23 by launching an honorary Red Bull Flugtag craft into the Cumberland River, sponsoring the event at Riverfront Park. Open to the public at 11 a.m. CST, Red Bull Flugtag pits competitors in homemade human-powered flying machines as they attempt to break the 258-foot distance record. Spectators are encouraged to stop by the Topgolf Nashville viewing tent for entertainment and a chance to win Topgolf-themed prizes.

 

It’s all in good fun.  Each aircraft will inevitably end up in the river, but it’s anybody’s guess which will fly the farthest before taking the plunge and who will have the most fun doing it.  Some teammates not piloting the homemade aircraft even tend to like to take a dive off the launch platform after their entry has taken off.

Head out for some family fun, a few laughs, and a good time tomorrow! Admission is free.  Gates open at 11am at Riverfront Park.  The competion goes on until 4pm.  There will be plenty of vendors on site, too.
