Big Machine Label Group’s Dot Records Signs On Seven Staff Members

Dot RecordsDot Records’ General Manager CHRIS STACEY today unveiled  seven staff members who have been hired for the iconic label’s promotion efforts.

In late March, The New York Times first broke the news of the legendary establishment’s resurgence and announced the 20-year industry veteran’s appointment, who previously held posts at Warner Music Nashville. Remaining in Nashville, Stacey reports to Big Machine Label Group President and CEO Scott Borchetta and can be reached at 615.846.7745 or chris.stacey@bmlg.net.

“I look at the team that we have assembled here at Dot and the entire Big Machine Label Group and I know that we cannot only compete, but win. Newly named Director of National Promotion Kris Lamb is such a perfect fit to spearhead this team, where we have such an amazing balance of experience, relationships, intelligence, promo skill and hustle. I cannot wait to unleash this team on our first single!” exclaimed Stacey.

Under Stacey’s leadership, the Dot Records’ powerhouse team will consist of staff members with multi-genres backgrounds as well as internal hires within the Big Machine Label Group:

KRIS LAMB (Director of National Promotion) is upped in the label group family, where he most recently served as the West Coast Regional for Big Machine Records and was integral in the careers of Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Danielle Bradbery and The Cadillac Three. Under the Big Machine Label Group umbrella, Dot Records is armed with the same tenacity and poised for similar success that both BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta and Republic Records CEO Monte Lipman have enjoyed. Their previous joint venture, Republic Nashville, launched the careers of Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band and Cassadee Pope, scoring eleven #1 hits and selling over 30 million tracks in a mere five years.

Comparably, Dot Records will be headquartered in Nashville and will utilize the combined resources of Big Machine and Republic Records. The Universal Music Group, parent company of Republic Records, now owns the original Dot Records catalogue.

Dot Records’ success from inception in 1950 relied on finding, developing and marketing great music regardless of genre boundaries. That mission will remain intact as artists’ signings and incredible new music from across the globe are revealed in the coming months.
