Tyler Farr Added To Shine For Susie Benefit Concert Lineup With Tickets On Sale TODAY

Shining light on ALS and showing their support for Love and Theft’s Stephen Barker Liles and family, country music’s biggest stars come together for an acoustic filled evening at the Historic Ryman Auditorium on December 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. to benefit The ALS Association of Tennessee and the Burchett & Liles Family in their fight against ALS together.

Tyler Farr will also join friends and fellow artists Love and Theft, Florida Georgia Line, Jerrod Niemann, Craig Campbell, Canaan Smith, Trent Tomlinson, The Warren Brothers, and Stevie Monce for a night of hope and healing. The evening will be hosted by SiriusXM The Highway’s Storme Warren, Stephen Baker Liles from Love and Theft and Dee Jay Silver.
Concert tickets go on sale Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, the Ryman box office, www.ryman.com and by phone 800.745.3000. Tickets are $125, $75 and $55.
Shine for Susie ALS Benefit Concert was formed as a partnership between The ALS Association of Tennessee and the Burchett & Liles Family to raise funds in the fight against ALS. Susie Burchett, mother of Stephen Barker Liles from Love and Theft, was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2017.
Together, our efforts are helping to improve the daily lives of people living with ALS, including Susie’s.
“I’ve had the privilege of helping with many charities through the years, but when the cause touches your life, it changes everything,” said Stephen Barker Liles from Love and Theft. “When my mother was diagnosed with ALS, in March of this year, I was devastated. But I also felt called to make a difference to help her and others through my musical platform. I’m incredibly grateful for some of my dear friends who are joining me to shine light through our music and bring hope to millions.”
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Eventually, people with ALS lose the ability to initiate and control muscle movement, which often leads to total paralysis and death within two to five years of diagnosis. For unknown reasons, NFL players are four times as likely to develop ALS and veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS as the general population.
The simple fact is, ALS can strike anyone, anytime.
“There are so many important causes that merit our support,” said Burchett and Liles Family. “Often however, we don’t choose those causes…they choose us. For our family, having our mother, wife, grandmother diagnosed with ALS presented a galvanizing opportunity to support the needed cause of ALS. We hope this event will provide more awareness, funds for research, and financial support to all touched by this debilitating disease.”
For information on sponsorship packages or if you have any additional questions before you purchase, please contact Ashlee Moon at 615.331.5556 or send an email to ashlee.moon@alstn.org.
“We are thrilled to curate this first-of-its-kind unique concert experience for the Tennessee Chapter alongside the Burchett and Liles Family. The enthusiasm and willingness this family has brought to the table to secure some of the industry’s most talented artists to perform is truly amazing. They continue to work tirelessly with our team to create an unforgettable musical experience,” said Steve Wallace, CEO of The ALS Association of Tennessee.

“Our Chapter is truly grateful to have this important partnership and we are thankful to all the musical guests, who have graciously lent their time and talents to support the Association’s efforts in brightening the lives of ALS patients and families in our community,” said Wallace.

About The ALS Association Tennessee ChapterThe ALS Association is the only national non-profit organization fighting ALS on every front.  By leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships, The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure. Aaron Watson Hosts “A Night Of Texas” Benefit Concert Tonight At Ryman

Amidst a string of sold out shows nationwide, Aaron Watson is preparing for his October 4 headlining date at Music City’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. Opening for this date will be fellow acts all from the great state of Texas including Jon Wolfe, Mickey Guyton, Jim Collins and Leslie Satcher, to present “A Night of Texas Music” benefitting American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey response efforts. Tickets start at only $25 and can be purchased HERE.  Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Red Cross.

It’s been nearly five weeks since Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana, and the Red Cross continues to provide shelter, food, relief supplies and more to people in need. Red Cross response vehicles and volunteers are fanning out across neighborhoods to distribute nutritious meals and relief supplies, such as diapers, bug spray, cleaning supplies, coolers, and comfort kits that contain deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other hygiene items. Red Cross disaster workers are also providing health services such as replacing lost medications and eyeglasses, emotional support and spiritual care to people affected by this devastating storm.

The date adds to a hugely successful 2016-2017, with headlining ticket counts nearing the half million mark and 100+ sellout shows covering 40 states and 8 countries.

“It is such an honor to headline the iconic Ryman stage, and having the opportunity to turn this into a benefit for all of the folks in Southeast Texas who really need our help is going to make it an extra special night,” says Watson. “Really grateful for the chance to give back.”

Watson’s lead single “Outta Style” from the critically acclaimed album Vaquero, which debuted earlier this year at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 1 on Billboard’s all genre Indie Albums chart, is currently sitting in the 20’s on both charts. Aaron continues to undeniably impact the country music scene, building an incredible 18-year career, marking his highest charting single to date and arguably the greatest underdog story in country music since Zac Brown Band’s “Chicken Fried” nearly a decade ago.

About Kip Moore And “Kip’s Kids Fund:”
Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore’s already-revered “thoroughly vital, 13-song collection” (NPR) SLOWHEART is available everywhere now. Moore has hit his stride with SLOWHEART, with critics including Noisey declaring the release as “the sound of an uncompromising, genre-defying artist firing on all cylinders,” while his current Top 10 single “More Girls Like You,” is the fastest rising single of his career. SLOWHEART follows the acclaim that surrounded his sophomore album WILD ONES heralded as “an impressively singular release from Music Row” by The Guardian. Moore first turned heads with his debut album UP ALL NIGHT which was recently certified Double-PLATINUM by the RIAA and spawned three No. One hit singles including GOLD certified “Beer Money,” PLATINUM certified “Hey Pretty Girl,” and the DOUBLE PLATINUM breakout hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck. Moore, who has trail-blazed his own path with his reputation-making live show recently announced his headlining PLEAD THE FIFTH TOUR kicking off on 10/19 as well as headlining dates in U.K this fall. Moore’s “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” raising funds for “Kip’s Kids Fund” was born as a passion project, with the goal of finding an outlet to showcase Moore’s love for the alternative sports lifestyle, and his desire to help inner city children. Phase one cities of the project included building and developing skateparks in Nashville, TN; Boston, MA; San Marcos, TX; Cincinnati, OH and Annapolis, MD. The “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” is the first initiative of “Kip’s Kids Fund,” a donor-advised fund through The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) focused on youth and teens. As a result, the “Kip’s Kid Fund” provides alternative outlets for youth to engage in healthy habits and physical activities like skateboarding, in addition to the traditional sports offerings where they live. Lady Antebellum Brings The House Down In Nashville

Photo courtesy of the GreenRoom PR.

In what was the last stop of the North American leg of the YOU LOOK GOOD world tour, Lady Antebellum brought the house down along with tourmates, Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young.

Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena held a capacity crowd that was dancing and singing along with all 3 acts all night long.  As Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott put it: “It’s been two years since we took this stage” with Charles Kelley chiming in that they were prepared to “leave it all out on the stage”.  They did just that.  After taking a break to work on some special projects they wanted to do, Lady Antebellum is back and better than ever.

Photo courtesy of the GreenRoom PR.

Brett Young opened the night with a great performance to an appreciative crowd.  Midway through, he was presented with a multi-platinum achievement plaque by record label president, Scott Borchetta, along with other members of his team for his debut album and singles.  This is only the start of what is sure to be a successful career from the handsome, tall tunesmith.

Next, Kelsea Ballerini took the stage in an energetic performance entertaining the crowd with hits from her debut album and sprinkling in a few new tunes from her upcoming release.  Vibrant as ever, we look forward to hearing more from the always adorable artist who took the country world by storm right out of the gates and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, thankfully.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

Finally, Lady Antebellum closed out the show with singing hits from their first album all the way through their current release.  They were enthusiastic and better than ever sharing how happy they were to be doing what they love for so many years in a heartfelt moment as they slowed it down a bit singing a few songs acoustically giving the band a break.  One of my favorites from that segment was their rendition of Shania Twain’s classic hit,“Still The One”.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

“Without getting too nostalgic, this is a dream come true for us to close out this tour in Nashville,” said Charles Kelley. “For over ten years we have walked this journey with everyone here tonight and we couldn’t feel more blessed. Thank you to everyone who helped us make this tour the most unforgettable journey yet.”

My favorite moment of the night is when they brought out the full horn section from Nashville School of Arts to join their 2 incredible horn players that usually tour with Justin Timberlake, but joined them while he is on a break from touring.  They finished off their single from the current album, “You Look Good”, in stellar fashion creating my favorite memory from the evening.  Also loved the opening with just the two added horn players energizing and hyping the crowd on stage alone for a couple of minutes serving as the intro of the always incredible Lady Antebellum to enter the arena’s huge stage.  They poured their hearts out all night long and had a spectacular conclusion with an encore of “Bartender” transitioning into their mega crossover hit, “Need You Now”, and leaving the stage to a standing ovation from a very appreciative crowd.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

They succeeded in accomplishing what they sought out to do, leaving it all out on the stage in a stellar performance lasting nearly two hours on a beautiful, cool, crisp fall-like evening in downtown Nashville.

Thanks, Lady Antebellum, for adding so much to the country genre with your harmonious sounds and constantly bringing your fans something fresh and new with each release for over 10 years. From their humble start playing at 3rd & Lindsley to packing arenas around the world, we hope to continue hearing from them for many more years to come. They are a must-see concert whenever they come to town.

Jon Pardi Plays To A Sold Out Crowd At George Dickel’s Porch Sessions

On Saturday, August 12th, country singer Jon Pardi played to a sold out crowd at George Dickel’s 3rd installment of their summer concert series called Porch Sessions.

It was a balmy summer night with the audience dancing and singing along in pure delight to the country singer’s more traditional sound.  The George Dickel whisky was flowing and it was a truly festive atmosphere at Cascade Hollow, a picturesque setting and the distillery’s home.

For me, it was a perfect way to enjoy the last remnants of summer as I enjoyed some great music from a rocking chair sitting on the porch at George Dickel Distillary out in the beautiful countryside sipping on my George Dickel Dickelade cocktail while taking it all in away from the crowd.  I’m pretty sure this is just what they intended when creating the series.  Maybe I took it TOO literal? Well, sometimes you just need to slow way down and take in all of the simple things life has to offer.  This is one of them.

The final Porch Sessions is taking place the end of September, and I’m sad to see it come to an end.  I have certainly enjoyed my visits out to George Dickel’s Cascade Hollow in Tullahoma.  Just a short day trip down the road from Nashville.  Tours of the distillery are available daily and encourage everyone to take a day off, sip on some Dickle from a rocking chair on their porch taking in the beautiful surroundings of the serene countryside setting that is Cascade Hollow.

About Kenny Rogers
Kenny Rogers began recording in the late 1950s, notching a local hit in the Houston, TX market with “That Crazy Feeling” that resulted in a national TV appearance on “American Bandstand.” After stints with the jazz group the Bobby Doyle Three and folk favorite The New Christy Minstrels, Rogers formed The First Edition in 1967. As the lead singer of the group, Rogers sang on the band’s biggest hits, such as “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)” and “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town.” The group, who hosted their own syndicated television series, “Rollin’”, stayed together through 1975.

In 1976, Rogers signed a deal in Nashville with United Artists. With the help of producer Larry Butler, Rogers released “Lucille” in early 1977, his first No. 1 hit. The singer would tally many classics through the decade, including “Love Or Something Like It,” “Sweet Music Man,” “The Gambler,” and “Every Time Two Fools Collide,” which he recorded with the late Dottie West. Rogers was named Male Vocalist of the Year by both the CMA and the ACM, being also recognized as Entertainer of the Year by the latter in 1979.

In 1980, Rogers made musical history with his cross-over success of “Lady.” The Lionel Richie composition netted the singer a hit in the Country, Pop, AC, and R&B fields. The album from which the song was pulled, Kenny Rogers’ Greatest Hits, was certified Diamond for sales of over ten million units. In the 1980s, he stayed on top of the charts with hits like “I Don’t Need You,” “We’ve Got Tonight,” and “Morning Desire,” and sang on the GRAMMY® winning USA For Africa charity single, “We Are The World,” joined by an unprecedented number of music legends. He also established a successful career as an actor – with roles in The Gambler movie series – and as a photographer, with several published books of photos to his credit, including “This Is My Country.”

Rogers has sold over 120 million albums worldwide during his career, making him one of the best-selling male artists of all-time according to the RIAA, with twenty Platinum albums and eleven Gold. He has won awards from every organization imaginable, including multiple GRAMMY® Awards, as well as CMA, ACM, CMT, TNN, Music City News, and American Music Awards. In 2012, Rogers released his successful memoir, “Luck or Something Like It” and became a New York Times Best-Selling Author. In the fall of 2013, Rogers was bestowed with his biggest honor, being inducted as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. He continues to endear himself to audiences through his timeless music, and appearances on television – including a well-received Geico commercial in 2015.

In the fall of 2015, Kenny Rogers made headlines with the announcement that he would soon embark on a farewell tour – after one of the most successful and iconic careers in the history of show business. The spring of 2016 saw the singer begin that process with his “The Gambler’s Last Deal” Final World Tour, saying goodbye to his loyal legion of fans one city and one night at a time in what has been a critically-acclaimed night of music and memories.
