Craig Campbell’s 6th Annual Celebrity Cornhole Challenge Is A Success

Red Bow Records Country star CRAIG CAMPBELL put his big-hearted values on display at yesterday’s 6TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY CORNHOLE CHALLENGE, hosting a star-studded afternoon of friendly competition to benefit Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC).

Taking place outside Nashville’s City Winery, the fun-filled day scored with plenty of cornhole action – a bag-toss game popular with tailgaters all around the nation – plus a celebrity cast which featured Campbell and his wife Mindy, Russell Dickerson, Lindsay Ell, Walker Hayes, Brett Kissel, NASCAR driver Scott Lagasse, Jr., LOCASH, Tegan Marie, Morgan Mills, Jerrod Niemann, Taylor Phillips, Dee Jay Silver, The Cadillac Three and Brett Young.

Fans bid for the chance to play against the stars in tournament fashion, with Craig Campbell ultimately taking home first place.

Tonight (6/6), Campbell will follow up at City Winery with the One Million Strong Dinner gala, where the total amount raised from this year’s event will be officially revealed. Having lost his father to colorectal cancer at 11 years old, the dedicated family man is one of FIGHT CRC’s national spokespersons, and has previously raised more than $300,000 for the cause.

But with Nashville’s beloved CMA Music Fest getting underway, Campbell’s big week is just getting started.

Tomorrow (6/7) Campbell will celebrate Throwback Thursday at his old haunt The Stage on Nashville’s Lower Broadway – the same honky tonk where he was discovered years earlier. Starting at 2 p.m. CT, the traditionally-minded star will deliver a set of ‘90s Country favorites for a show billed as Karaoke With Craig. Then at 9 p.m. CT he’ll bring out his own hits with a primetime set on the massive Cracker Barrel Country Roads Stage at Ascend Amphitheater.

On Friday (6/8), Campbell will release his highly-anticipated SEE YOU TRY EP – seven diverse tracks featuring his flirtatious chart-riser “See You Try” and two versions of the critically-acclaimed “Outskirts of Heaven.”

And finally on Sunday (6/10), he’ll finish up as the last artist to perform on the attention grabbing Chevy Riverfront Stage. That hit-filled set will get underway at 4:45 p.m. CT, and all of Campbell’s CMA Music Fest concert appearances are free and open to the public.

The week marks the beginning of a big summer for the fan favorite, who plans to headline select dates across North America following a standout 2017 which included Luke Bryan’s HUNTIN’, FISHIN’ AND LOVIN’ EVERY DAY Tour.

More About REBOOT Recovery:
REBOOT Combat Recovery (REBOOT) was founded in 2011 by Evan and Dr. Jenny Owens. Dr. Jenny L. Owens is a licensed occupational therapist specializing in traumatic brain injury and PTSD. Evan A. Owens is certified in military ministry related to soldiers and families dealing with PTSD.  REBOOT is a 501(c)3 organization and is tax exempt.  REBOOT offers a 12-week combat trauma healing course to help combat veterans and their families heal from the spiritual and moral injuries of war associated with post-traumatic stress and combat trauma.
War wounds the soul. Over the past several years, the medical community has expanded its view of the impact of trauma. Now, many acknowledge that combat trauma directly impacts not only the mind and body but also the soul. This type of injury is called moral injury. Moral injury can manifest itself in the form of anger, anxiety, depression, social withdrawal, and, most tragically, suicide.  At REBOOT, we believe these symptoms are often linked to deep-rooted soul wounds related to unresolved grief, distrust of God/self/others, unforgiveness, bitterness, and loss of identity.
REBOOT “communities” are safe, private, and mostly veteran-led. Childcare and a pre-discussion meal are provided on a weekly basis to remove barriers of entry for families seeking help. We encourage the participation of spouses and affected family members because we know that trauma impacts the entire family.  For efforts outside of our lane of expertise, we partner with many government and non-profit agencies to provide the most wholistic care possible to these hurting families. For more information or to get involved please visit www.rebootrecovery.com.

Emily West With Tin Pan Symphony At City Winery – August 6

Sultry songstress Emily West is back with show featuring a symphony after last summer’s successful concert at Cheekwood with the Music City Symphony. On August 6 at City Winery, West will be performing a variety of songs including originals from her upcoming release Symphonies and classic covers reimagined for the debut of the Tin Pan Symphony. From the producers, Charles Dixon and Charlie Judge, of the critically acclaimed Music City Hit-Makers, Tin Pan Symphony is Nashville’s first true “pop symphony” geared towards “symphonic re-imagined” collaborations with Nashville based artists and songwriters focused on songs and symphony.
Tickets are available here.
$25 for premier, $20 for VIP, $15 for Balcony and reserved
About Emily West
Waterloo, Iowa native, Emily West, moved to Nashville at the age of 18, where she honed her songwriting and performance skills in the local clubs. Soon after arriving, West landed a publishing and record label deal, releasing three country singles. She was nominated with duet partner Keith Urban for the Academy of Country Music Awards in the category of “Vocal Event of the Year” for their song “Blue Sky.”
Driven by her love and fear of New York City, West got on a plane, got lost on the subway, and found herself auditioning for America’s Got Talent. As a finalist on Season 9 (2014), West won crowds over, including AGT judge Howard Stern, with re-imagined versions of songs like the “Moody Blues’”, “Nights in White Satin” and Sia’s hit “Chandelier.” Her mentor and idol, Cyndi Lauper, whom she met during an episode of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice, appeared with her on the AGT finale.
Following AGT, West signed with Sony Music Masterworks’ Portrait imprint.  Her debut album “All For You”, features three original songs co-written by West including “Bitter”, which has charted in the Top 30 on AC radio, with its music video premiering on Yahoo Music. RollingStone.com raved that “’Bitter’… swells and soars thanks to West’s impassioned vocals. Heartbreak has never sounded quite this uplifting.” “All For You” also includes a stunning duet with Lauper of “True Colors” and unique covers of “Without You” (David Guetta & Usher), “You Got It” (Roy Orbison) and the songs that made her popular on AGT.
West started 2015 with a bang, releasing a video collaboration with YouTube series Postmodern Jukebox where she performed a Roy Orbison inspired version of Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “Only One”. Shortly thereafter, she was invited to open for comic legend Jay Leno on his national tour and continues to do so today.
In April, West launched her one woman-show with a multi-city residency tour in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Chicago.  She won over audiences with her soul-bearing vocals, captivating personality and guest appearances from the likes of music icon David Foster, pop artist Who is Fancy and legendary songwriter and producer, Mark Hudson. West was recently featured as one of the “Women of Gravitas” for the fashion brand, Project Gravitas, who premiered their “Emily Skirt” inspired by the artist.  A portion of the proceeds from the skirt benefitted the Education through Music Foundation.
West has shared the stage with Lauper at her annual Home For The Holidays benefit concert in New York, co-hosted the red carpet at the first American Country Countdown Awards in Nashville and the featured vocalist at an HRC Gala in Las Vegas honoring Rob Reiner. She has performed the National Anthem across the country at major sporting events for the NHL, MLB, NBA, WNBA and the Kentucky Derby.
In 2017, West will debut her symphony show American One Night Stand(ards) appearing at Performing Arts Centers and with Symphonies across the country.

RED BOW Records’ country artist Craig Campbell hosted the 5th Annual Craig Campbell Celebrity Cornhole Challenge and 3rd One Million Strong Benefit in Nashville, TN on Tuesday (6/6). Also a Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC) national spokesperson, he started this campaign to bring awareness to the disease that killed his father at age 36.  Both events combined raised over $180,000 for colorectal cancer education, research and prevention.

Fellow celebrities Dee Jay Silver, Trent Harmon, Nascar driver Scott Lagasse, Jr., Jackie Lee, Love and Theft, Jerrod Niemann, Parmalee, Michael Ray and Thompson Square played in support of Fight CRC this year.  Hundreds of fans turned out for the challenge, which came down to Team Dee Jay Silver and Team Craig Campbell. The host ultimately lost the game but won the loser’s bracket.

“So proud of how the cornhole challenge turned out,” shared Campbell. “I am grateful to all the celebrities who came out and helped us raise so much money for Fight CRC. Can’t wait to do it again next year!”

The 3rd One Million Strong benefit dinner followed with Campbell on host duties. It featured a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, and an intimate concert with Campbell, Rivers Rutherford and Jimmy Yeary. Nashville leaders, Mayor Megan Barry and Chief Medical Officer of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Andrea Willis offered remarks. Larry Nall, Senior Vice President of Provider Network Management, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, was recognized for his leadership around colorectal cancer awareness and advocacy.

On Sunday, Campbell is performing at CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN, on the Chevrolet Riverfront stage at 11:30am. He is currently playing select shows nationwide and will join Luke Bryan’s HUNTIN’ FISHIN’ AND LOVIN’ EVERY DAY TOUR on August 8. In between tour stops, he is in the studio working on his RED BOW Records debut album, featuring lead track and critically acclaimed single, “Outskirts of Heaven.”

ABOUT CRAIG CAMPBELL:
Campbell launched on to the country music scene with the release of his self-titled debut album (2011) delivering the hits “Family Man,” “Fish,” and “When I Get It.” To date, he has logged five consecutive charted hits with over a billion radio airplay audience impressions and over a half million downloads. Acclaimed as one of the genre’s most neo-traditionalist singers, his Top 15 breakout debut “Family Man” was featured on HBO’s True Blood and fan-favorite “Fish” has tallied nearly 400,000 digital copies sold. Campbell earned his first Top 10 smash with the infectious “Keep Them Kisses Comin’” from his sophomore album NEVER REGRET (2013). The gifted songwriter co-wrote Garth Brooks “All American Kid” off of MAN AGAINST THE MACHINE. Prior to landing his first record deal, the Lyons, GA native spent time on the road playing keyboard for both Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan – shows that inspired him nightly. He was soon discovered while playing a regular gig at the downtown Nashville honky-tonk, The Stage.
