Chris Stapleton Pop-Up Shop Confirmed In Downtown Nashville during CMA Fest

Chris Stapleton will hold an exclusive pop-up store at The George Jones during next month’s CMA Fest. Open June 7–10 from 10:00AM–6:00PM, the store will feature exclusive merchandise, custom Louisville Slugger bats and more.

Stapleton will also perform during this year’s festival—at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, June 9 (10:30PM) as well as part of Marty Stuart’s Late Night Jam at the Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, June 6. Moreover, earlier in the evening on June 6, he will perform at the 2018 CMT Music Awards where he is nominated for Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year for “Say Something” with Justin Timberlake and CMT Performance of the Year for “I Won’t Back Down” (from 2017 CMT Artist of the Year) with Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Little Big Town.

The performances continue a triumphant year for Stapleton following the release his two acclaimed 2017 albums—From A Room: Volume 1 (certified platinum) and From A Room: Volume 2 (certified gold).

In celebration of the albums, Stapleton will hit the road again this year as part of the expansive “Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show” tour. Dates include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ The Forum and Chicago’s Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre among many others. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature Marty Stuart and Brent Cobb as special guests. All tickets are now on-sale. See below for complete tour itinerary.

Both Volume 1 and Volume 2 take their name from Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A (the capital “A” in “From A Room”) where they were recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb. Along with Stapleton on vocals and guitar and Cobb on acoustic guitar, the album features Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals as well as longtime band-members J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums.

Stapleton was recently awarded Best Country Album (From A Room: Volume 1), Best Country Song (“Broken Halos”) and Best Country Solo Performance (“Either Way”) at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, Album of the Year (From A Room: Volume 1) and Male Vocalist of the Year at The 51st Annual CMA Awards, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (From A Room: Volume 1 as both artist and producer) at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards and Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album (From A Room: Volume 1) at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

Moreover, Stapleton is featured on Justin Timberlake’s new song, “Say Something.” The music video—which was filmed in a single shot at L.A.’s historic Bradbury Building—has been viewed over 200 million times. Watch here.

Chris Stapleton Scores #1 Album

Chris Stapleton’s From A Room, Volume 1 debuted at the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart. The collection sold 219,000 units (and 202,000 in traditional album sales) to land at No. 1 on the Country chart and at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. This is the highest-selling country debut since Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights sold 320,000 in its first week in 2015. Stapleton also debuts at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart this week (Logic’s Everybody sold 196,000 in album sales, but with over 70 million streams).

Chris not only holds the top spot on the Country album chart, but he is also sitting at No. 2 with his previous album, Traveller, which sold nearly 24,000 copies this week. This marks only the second time a male artist has held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the same week since 1993 (when Garth Brooks accomplished that feat December 2016). It’s also the fourth time for any country artist since then (LeAnn Rimes in 2003 and Taylor Swift in 2009). Rounding out the Top 3 this week isKeith Urban’s Ripcord.

Stapleton says he didn’t feel any pressure for his new album even with the double-platinum success of his previous record, Traveller. “I didn’t have any expectations for the last record. I was hoping if we even sold 50,000 records, it’d be a giant victory for me as far as getting to go out and play shows and play live and keep the wheels rolling, but we did a little bit more than that,” says Chris. “So, I kind of feel the same way about this record. It’s a new record and my expectations for this record don’t have much to do with the last record. I want them to be whatever it’s gonna be for this record.

The Kentucky native, who just released his new single “Either Way,” is in the midst of headlining his All-American Road Show. He’s set to play San Diego on Thursday (May 18th), Phoenix on Friday (May 19th) and L.A. on Saturday (May 20th).

Chris Stapleton’s New Album, “From A Room: Volume 1”, Available Now

★★★★ “From A Room is strikingly focused, sonically and thematically.”
—Rolling Stone

Chris Stapleton’s highly anticipated new album, From A Room: Volume 1, is out now on Mercury Records Nashville (available here).

Released to widespread acclaim, The New York Times recently profiled Stapleton and his wife and collaborator, Morgane Stapleton (read the full story here). Of the couple, The Times’ Jon Caramanica praises, “The dynamic between the two is one of country’s great treats, a vivid display of affection that elevates their music.” He goes on to assert, “Like Traveller, From A Room is earthen, rich with tradition, has a tactile intensity and is carefully measured.”

In celebration of the release, Stapleton will debut new music on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” this coming Monday, May 8 and will be a guest on Sirius/XM’s  “Howard Stern Show” on Tuesday, May 9. Stapleton also recently sat down with Beats 1 for an in-depth interview filmed at RCA Studio A. Watch the full interview here.

Additionally, “Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show” tour kicks off tonight with back-to-back sold out shows in Alpharetta, GA and will span throughout 2017 with ten additional shows announcing today. The new dates include performances in Houston, Dallas, Tampa and Omaha as well as a very special hometown show at Nashville, TN’s Bridgestone Arena on October 13. Exclusive Stapleton Fan Club pre-sales will begin next Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00am local time. For more information visit www.stapletonfanclub.com. Public tickets for the newly announced concerts begin Friday, May 12 at 10:00am local time. Live Nation is the national tour promoter for the “All-American Road Show.”

Citi® is the official credit card of the “All-American Road Show” tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets through Citi’s Private Pass Program® beginning Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00am local. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

Special guests for the extensive tour include Brothers Osborne, Lucie Silvas, Anderson East, Brent Cobb, Margo Price and Marty Stuart. Of a recent performance, the Seattle Times declares, “…Stapleton dazzled the sold-out crowd with a barrage of songs that defy easy categorization while receiving the kind of deafening cheers reserved for superstars.”

From A Room: Volume 1 is the first new music from Stapleton since 2015’s breakthrough double Platinum solo debut Traveller and will be followed by From A Room: Volume 2—coming later this year.

The album takes its name from Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, where it was recorded during the winter of 2016-17. Once again produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, Volume 1 features eight original songs as well as “Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning,” which was written by Gary P. Nunn and Donna Sioux Farar and made famous by Willie Nelson. Additional highlights on the album include the album’s first radio single, “Either Way.”

In addition to Stapleton on vocals and guitar and Cobb on acoustic guitar, the album features Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals as well as longtime band-members J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums and musicians Mickey Raphael on harmonica, Robby Turner on pedal steel and Mike Webb on keys.

The May 5 release of Volume 1 comes exactly two years to the day since the release of Traveller. Released to immediate widespread critical acclaim, the album had one of the best-selling first weeks by a debut country artist in 2015. Following a historic turn on the 49th Annual CMA Awards—where Stapleton became the first artist to win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the same awards – Traveller became the first album to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where it stayed for two straight weeks. The critically acclaimed album went on to win multiple Grammy and ACM Awards and was the #1 selling Country album of 2016 and the fourth-highest selling album of 2016 across all genres. Additionally, in the past two years, Stapleton has performed on multiple national TV shows including “Saturday Night Live,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and was profiled on “CBS News Sunday Morning.”
