CRAIG MORGAN SETS JULY 20th FOR 8th ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT BENEFITTING THE DICKSON COUNTY CRAIG MORGAN FOUNDATION

Country Music star and award-winning TV host Craig Morgan announced today that he is set to host his 8th Annual Charity Event on Sunday, July 20 in his hometown of Dickson, Tenn.  Proceeds from the event, which includes a Celebrity Off-Road Trail Ride and Outdoor Concert, will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation, (501c3). The organization’s primary goal is to assist foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee.

 

The family-friendly event will kick-off at 8a.m. on Sunday, July 20 in Dickson, Tenn. The morning will start with an autograph session with celebrity riders, followed by a hair-raising trials riding exhibition from several of motocross’ top celebrities and competitors, a group trail ride and lunch. Later that night, Craig and several of his country music friends will take to the stage for an outdoor concert on the rolling lawn outside the War Memorial building in Dickson. A live and silent auction will also take place from the concert.  All proceeds from the events will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.

 

Both events are open to the public. Event tickets will go on sale May 9 at CraigMorgan.com. Celebrity participants for both events will be announced in the coming weeks.

ABOUT THE DICKSON COUNTY CRAIG MORGAN FOUNDATION: The idea for The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation was born while Craig Morgan was serving as an Assistant Sheriff’s Deputy in Dickson, TN and named for his wife Karen’s father. The organization, a component fund of the 501c3 Craig Morgan Dickson County Educational Foundation, will support foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. Craig’s continuing charitable mission is to eventually build and maintain a home in Dickson County Tennessee for temporarily displaced children in Tennessee’s 23rd District (5 counties) and to provide lasting funding for the home. His long-term goal is to start additional Billy’s Place homes around the country. The annual Craig Morgan Charity Weekend has raised $250,000 the last four years in support of The Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation and other children’s welfare organizations.

A VINTAGE AFFAIR HOSTS 14TH ANNUAL ‘A VINTAGE AFFAIR’ SERIES OF WINE EVENTS

A Vintage Affair’s annual, three-day series of wine events returns this April for its fourteenth year in Williamson County. The popular fund-raising sequence is one of many ways the Franklin-based non-profit supports local charities and programs.

 

On Wednesday, April 23rd, Sperry’s Restaurant in Cool Springs will be the setting for a 5 course wine maker dinner called “A Vintner Dinner.” Each course will be served with a specially paired wine and a chance to hear from the wine maker. This is a VIP dinner for AVA’s top sponsors. However, there are very limited tickets available for individual guests who wish to join this very special evening.  Individual tickets are $200 per guest.

On Thursday, April 24, AVA patrons will gather at Green’s Grocery in Historic Leiper’s Fork for “A Vintage Affair goes Country” formerly known as “Vintage Champagne and Vintage Country Music.”  This boots and blue jeans event has been a continual favorite among AVA patrons, and guests will tastefine champagne and wine provided by Harvest Beverage Company and Moon Wine and Spirits and cold beer in an old Tennessee atmosphere. Entertainment will be provided by Tayla Lynn, Victor House Recording Artist and granddaughter of Loretta Lynn.  BBQ will be provided by Mickey Roo’s.  Tickets are $75 per person.

The next night (April 25th) patrons will gather outside Jamison Hall at The Factory at Franklin from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the “Meet The Vintner Preview Party,” sponsored by First Tennessee Bank.  The event will feature fine cigars from BellaTerra Ranch Cigars and special wine tastings from the following wine makers:  Dan Cederquist of Cederquist Wine Company, Francisco Robledo of Robledo Family Winery, Kip Summers of Arrington Vineyards, and Pablo Nyarady of Trifecta Winery.  There will also be champagne and fabulous hors d’oeuvres.  Tickets are $125 per person.  This price includes your reservation to the “Main Event.”  Reservations may be purchased online at www.avintageaffair.org.

Immediately following the Preview Party, doors will open for the “A Vintage Affair Main Event,” the event to round off the three-day festivities. The party will feature live and silent auctions, and several wine tasting and food stations. Participating restaurants include Constant Craving Caterers, Red Pony, Stoveworks, Olivia Olive Oil, Cool Café, among others. Craig Morgan’s 6TH Annual Charity Event – This Weekend – Final Details Announced

Nashville, TN…(August 7, 2012)…Counting down the final days leading up to Craig Morgan’s 6th annual charity weekend, the country music star and award-winning TV host is excited to announce the final list of music, motocross, and celebrity friends joining him for the weekend’s festivities.

On Saturday, August 11, motocross stars Destry Abbott, Fred Andrews, Cowboy Kenny Bartram, Randy Hawkins, Kevin Windham, and country star Bucky Covington will take part in an exhibition and trail ride in Vanleer, Tennessee. Later that night, country music star Darryl Worley and HLN “Morning Express” host and “Brand New Day” singer Robin Meade along with the evening’s emcee, GAC host and TV personality Nan Kelley, will take the stage in concert with Morgan to support the Craig Morgan Charity Fund.

On Sunday, August 12th the popular Celebrity Sporting Clay Event will take place from the Tennessee Clay Target Complex in Nashville.  This year’s event, a 12-station course, will feature an exhibition by “The Ultimate Shooter” Tim Bradley.

Proceeds from the two-day event will benefit the Craig Morgan Charity Fund, a component fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.  The Craig Morgan Charity Fund continues to raise funds to establish Billy’s Place, an organization that will benefit foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee.

Fans can take part in the event by bidding on auction items via eBay through Friday, August 10th.   Items include a Husqvarna for a day experience, allowing fans to ride in style alongside motocross stars at Saturday’s ride.   Concert attendees on Saturday night will also have the opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items including a Pre-Owned Volkswagen Passat GLS, high end MAC Tools chest, music, tv, and sports memorabilia, and more!
