Lauren Alaina, Bobby Bones, Jay Cutler, Brandi Cyrus, Trent Harmon, Tegan Marie, Lucas Hoge And Marc Mariani Join City Of Hope Softball Game


City of Hope’s 28th annual Celebrity Softball Game continues to announce talent for the Saturday, June 9, event at First Tennessee Park. Bobby Bones, Brandi Cyrus, Lauren Alaina, Tegan Marie, Trent Harmon, Lucas Hoge, Jay Cutler and Marc Mariani have been added to the list of talent participating in the event. Teams iHeart Radio and Grand Ole Opry will meet at the field for a friendly competition for a great cause.   CLICK HERE for tickets ranging $15 – $35.

Office Depot will join the game for the first time as a supporting sponsor. Other notable partners include CMA Fest, U.S. Army, Grand Ole Opry and iHeart Radio.

Big Machine artist and Season 15 winner of ABC’s “American Idol” Trent Harmon will also perform the national anthem. City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game veteran and national radio personality Bobby Bones will continue as iHeart’s team captain. Reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year Lauren Alaina will return to the game after several years of support. DJ, fashion blogger and member of the Cyrus dynasty Brandi Cyrus will play in the game for the first time. Warner Music Nashville artist Tegan Marie, 14, one of the youngest female country singers to sign a record deal in decades, will participate in the game along with Billboard No. 1 artist Lucas Hoge and NFL players Jay Cutler and Marc Mariani.

As previously announced, The Scott Brothers are warming up for some sibling rivalry this year and Naomi Judd, who participated in the game in the early ’90s, is dusting off her glove and returning as a play-by-play guest announcer. More talent will be announced soon.

City Of Hope Sets Record Breaking Attendance At 27th Annual Celebrity Softball Game

City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game presented by Staples® reached its highest ever attendance at the 27th Annual event during CMA Music Festival at First Tennessee Park. Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe surprised fans by throwing the first pitch. In a friendly competition for a great cause, Team iHeart won the game, 9-6.

Reba McEntire kicked off the event by singing the National Anthem, followed by a performance of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” by Sara Evans. Team Captain for iHeart Media, Bobby Bones and Team Captain for Sirius XM/Grand Ole Opry, Bill Cody led with the traditional coin toss.

Artists in attendance were Billy Ray Cyrus, Craig Morgan, Kellie Pickler, Jessie James Decker and her husband and NFL player, Eric Decker, Lauren Alaina, Todd Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley of USA’s “Chrisley Knows Best,” Lunchbox, Eddie, and Ray of the Bobby Bones Show, Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s “The Property Brothers,” The Swon Brothers, Danielle Bradbery, Aaron Watson, Jackie Lee, Trent Harmon, Maggie Rose, Miss Tennessee, Allee-Sutton Hethcoat, and Kaitlyn Bristowe andShawn Booth of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.”

Legendary artists Lee Greenwood, Jeannie Seely and Tim Rushlow joined by iHeart Media radio personality, Gator Harrison called the play by play. A new tradition and fan favorite!

City of Hope patient and leukemia survivor, Nicole Schulz met, for the first time, her life-saving donor, Rian Lawrence at the mound.

24th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game

Country music’s hottest stars have some fun off the stage during CMA Music Festival as they go to bat against cancer. Fans from all over the country come to see their favorite artists compete in the annual softball game that benefits cancer research at City of Hope. When team iHeartRadio, coached by Bobby Bones, and team Grand Ole Opry led by Pete Fisher take the field, a wild and comedic game ensues where anything can happen.
