Tim McGraw’s SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN Tour Heats Up Tonight

Tim McGrawCountry Superstar Tim McGraw will kick-off his SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN 2014 Tour tonight in Fresno, CA.  The blazing summer run will also feature Kip Moore and newcomer Cassadee Pope as it hits 30 cities across the country.  The new set strives to bring McGraw closer to fans than ever before with innovative production, staging and video content that’s highlighted with never-before-seen footage.  The iconic entertainer will deliver hits spanning his career as well as new songs from the upcoming SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN album due out Sept. 16 on Big Machine Records.

“After doing this for 20 years, the challenge is always to find new ways to top what you did the last tour,” said McGraw.  “This summer is all about getting as close to the fans as possible and creating that connection with them, so we can really get to know each other and feed off that energy.  Fans this summer are going to get to hear some new songs off the new album too, which is cool because I’ll get that immediate feedback that only a live crowd can provide.”

Additionally, at each tour stop McGraw will continue to award mortgage-free homes to veterans in need with his HomeFront program in partnership with Chase and Operation Homefront.  McGraw has a long history and deep interest in supporting veterans and military families and wanted to find another way to honor our veterans and give back to them for their commitment and service to our country.

McGraw’s new single, “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” (featuring Faith Hill) is creating a groundswell with fans and radio.  As the march towards street date heats up, McGraw will be revealing new songs from the album through major primetime television performances and will provide fans with exclusive access to free downloads, first listens, behind the scenes looks, exclusive tour experiences, contests and more through www.countdowntosundown.com.

Chosen for Team Blake (Shelton), Pope excelled throughout the competition, displaying diverse musical tastes and talents, covering songs like Keith Urban’s “Stupid Boy,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Behind These Hazel Eyes” and Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn.” After a performance of “Over You” – honoring her mentor and his wife, Miranda Lambert – the tune catapulted to the #1 spot on the iTunes All Genre Chart.
