Nashville based publishing company Liv Write Play will be honored this weekend at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards. Penned by Liv Write Play writer Skip Black, “Lonely Drum,”by Aaron Goodvin, will be up for song of the year at the CCMAs taking place Sunday, September 9th in Hamilton, Ontario.
Black first signed to Liv Write Play in 2016 and has renewed his option for another year. He has found recent success with the production of Olivia Lane’s critically-acclaimed single “You Got Me.”
About Skip Black :Originally from North Carolina, Skip Black has made Nashville his home since 2007 after traveling between the two for over four years. In 2007, he started a publishing deal with Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame songwriter, Kye Fleming, and has since become an accomplished guitar player, writer, and producer.
