SARA EVANS AND BRETT JAMES ADDED TO CMA SONGWRITERS SERIES IN NASHVILLE TUESDAY, NOV. 4, DURING CMA AWARDS FESTIVITIES

As part of the events and activities leading up to “The 48th Annual CMA Awards” on Wednesday, Nov. 5, the CMA Songwriters Series will return to Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 4(9:00 PM/CT) at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum,222 5th Ave. South. The CMA Songwriters Series has added Country Music star Sara Evans and songwriter Brett James to the lineup, which includes previously announced performer and 2014 CMA Awards nominee, Brandy Clark.

Dierks Bentley & Brett James Honored For “I HOLD ON” #1

Dierks BentleyASCAP and Music Row came together on Tuesday, April 29th to celebrate “I Hold On,” which hit the top of the charts earlier this month to become Dierks Bentley’s 11th career #1 single as an artist and a songwriter. The hit marked the 16th chart-topper for ASCAP co-writer Brett James, and producers Ross Copperman and Arturo Buenahora were also congratulated in front of a packed crowd at the Pour House in Nashville. Publishers Combustion Music and Warner/Chappell Music, and label Capitol Records Nashville were also on hand to celebrate the group.

“I Hold On” was released in late 2013 as the lead single from Bentley’s seventh studio #1 album, Riser, and was recently certified Gold in the US and Canada. Riser’s second single, “Drunk on a Plane,” was released to country radio on April 21st and has already been named “Nashville’s freshest, funniest party song” (Star Tribune).James & Bentley
