Kellie Pickler To Join Phil Vassar For Special Holiday Tour And New Christmas Single “The Naughty List”

Country music fans know that when the holidays come around that they are in for a treat from their favorite stars. Now, two essential holiday-favorites, recording artist Phil Vassar and country music darling Kellie Pickler, are teaming up this season for a special Christmas tour around the country launching at the end of November and continuing throughout December. Tickets for A Christmas Tour go on sale Friday, July 28. In honor of the tour, Pickler and Vassar teamed up to release a new Christmas single this holiday season called “The Naughty List,” written by Phil Vassar and Juliana Songs, and co-produced by Vassar and long-time friend Dane Bryan, who also co-produced Vassar’s first Christmas album, Noel.

“I absolutely love Kellie, and am so excited to go on tour with her,” shares Vassar, who has completed a Christmas tour every year since 2009. “She is an amazingly talented lady and everyone who comes to our show this holiday season is going to be in for a fun time!”

Vassar established himself as a holiday-favorite upon the 2011 release of his first Christmas album, Noel. The album was co-produced by Vassar and his longtime friend Dane Bryan and includes covers of holiday favorites such as “Away in a Manger” and “Merry Christmas Darling” as well as witty original songs with “Santa’s Gone Hollywood” and “Big Ol’ Texas Christmas.” Noel also included a fan-favorite version of Vassar’s own “Let’s Make A Little Christmas,” a track that originally appeared on 2007’s Hear Something Country Christmas, which also included Kellie Pickler’s sultry rendition of “Santa Baby.”

“So excited that Phil and I are hitting the road together this Christmas season,” shared the country music recording artist and reality star Kellie Pickler. “Being able to tour with Phil is an amazing honor…he’s an incredibly talented artist.  We’re both looking forward to spreading as much cheer as we can this holiday season!”

Kellie Pickler’s 2007 version of “Santa Baby,” which she performed that year at “CMA Country Christmas,” quickly became a Christmas classic and landed on Taste of Country’s Top 50 Country Christmas Songs. She also notably performed “The Man With The Bag” at the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Pickler continues to release hauntingly memorable holiday singles, with “My Christmas Caroline” debuting in 2015 and last year releasing a special version of “White Christmas” – a tune she famously covered with Michael Bublé in 2013 and remains the biggest-selling Christmas song of all time. An avid supporter of the military, Pickler has completed 11 USO tours and spent five Christmas holidays performing for servicemen and women overseas.

Pickler has further celebrated the Christmas spirit with two holiday collections in her Southern home goods line with the Grand Ole Opry, Selma Drye. The collections have included ornaments, festive frames, decorative wreaths, as well as two special one-of-a-kind collector’s snow globes that play Pickler’s versions of “My Christmas Caroline” and  “White Christmas.”

Backstreet Boys And Florida Georgia Line Unite To Perform Each Group’s Biggest Hits During ‘CMT Crossroads’ Premiering Wednesday, August 30 At 10pm ET/PT

CMT today announced that pop and country powerhouses Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line will join forces to perform never-before-heard renditions of each group’s biggest hits during “CMT Crossroads” premiering Wednesday, August 30 at 10 PM ET/PT.

The special comes on the heels of strong growth for CMT, which just notched its highest-rated fiscal 3rd quarter since 2014 with 14% year-over-year growth among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, CMT has posted 32 consecutive weeks of year-over-year growth with Adults 18-49. Competitively for fiscal 3rd quarter, CMT ranks as the fastest growing Top 50 (non-news) channel with Women 18-49.

“Being such fans of each other, this is a really fun way for us to put our mark on our songs,” said BSB’s Brian Littrell. “It’s going to be a fun night with seven guys who really admire one another. I’m looking forward to what comes of it!”

“It’s been really cool to collaborate with BSB in so many different ways this year,” shares FGL’s Brian Kelley. “And to be able to take our friendship – and smooth new dance moves – up a notch with this full-blown concert together is going to be epic!”

FGL’s Tyler Hubbard adds, “Getting us all under one roof in Nashville will be fire. We can’t wait to jump in on each other’s songs and add our flavor to ones we grew up listening to!”

No strangers to performing with each other – FGL teamed up with BSB on their platinum-certified, #1 hit single “God, Your Mama, And Me,” and the iconic pop group is currently alongside the unstoppable duo for select stadium dates on their The Smooth Tour 2017 – the one-hour show promises to be nothing short of high-energy as they perform hits “I Want It That Way,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “Cruise,” “H.O.L.Y.” and more.

“CMT Crossroads” debuted January 13, 2002 with Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams and since has showcased dream musical partnerships including Kid Rock and Hank Williams, Jr.; Ray Charles and Travis Tritt; Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris; Bon Jovi and Sugarland; Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire; Def Leppard and Taylor Swift; Sting and Vince Gill; John Mayer and Keith Urban; Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood; Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum; Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves; and Alicia Keys and Maren Morris to name a few.

“CMT Crossroads” is produced by CMT’s Margaret Comeaux and Switched On Entertainment’s John Hamlin.

For 24 years the Backstreet Boys, one of the most successful groups in music history, has continually delivered the finest pop music one has to offer, making them one of pop’s most influential performers. With countless #1s, record-setting tours, numerous awards and worldwide sales in excess of 130 million, BSB has been recognized as the best-selling boy band in history. In 2013, BSB celebrated their 20th Anniversary with the release of the album “In A World Like This,” which saw the group receive a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, perform for the President of the United States, and make an unforgettable appearance in the Seth Rogen hit film “This Is The End” which earned the group a “Best Musical Moment” award at the MTV Movie Awards. Due to the overwhelming demand, the “In A World Like This” world tour was extended multiple times, amounting to what became the group’s biggest tour in over 10 years. On March 1, 2017 Backstreet Boys kicked off their Las Vegas residency “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” in The AXIS at Planet Hollywood, which has become one of the fastest-selling shows in Las Vegas history and is hosting the biggest audience in the history of Las Vegas headlining residencies. In June 2017, Backstreet Boys’ earned their first #1 Country Radio single with their collaboration with Florida Georgia Line “God, Your Mama, And Me.” BSB are currently working on their 10th studio album.

FGL’s musical evolution DIG YOUR ROOTS propelled the history-making duo to #1 on the all-genre Billboard Artist 100 and Country Albums charts. Continuing the epic momentum, the album has delivered three consecutive #1 smashes – the 3X PLATINUM-certified lead single “H.O.L.Y.” [#1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 18 straight weeks] and PLATINUM-certified hits “May We All” (featuring Tim McGraw) and “God, Your Mama, And Me” (featuring Backstreet) Boys [13th #1 overall as artists]. Following a landmark DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR that broke attendance records and played to over one million featuring headline-grabbing guest appearances, FGL is currently on THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017. Bursting with first-rate reviews of their explosive live shows, MusicRow Magazine praised, “Just in case you’ve forgotten, Florida Georgia Line is one of the hottest country acts alive.” The superstar duo continues to crush records as the first and only Country act to achieve RIAA’s DIAMOND certification (10 million copies sold) for their breakout smash “Cruise,” which holds the record for the longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and is the best-selling digital country single of all time (SoundScan). Since their breakout in 2012, FGL has earned prestigious honors from the AMA, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards and CMT Music Awards. Their previous BMLG Records releases – 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES and PLATINUM ANYTHING GOES – have attributed to sales surpassing 29 million tracks and more than 3.5 million albums worldwide. FGL will spread good vibes to sports fans each week during the 2017 NFL season as they’re featured alongside Hank Williams Jr. and Jason Derulo in “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Monday Night” during Monday Night Football on ESPN. Fueled by fresh inspiration and keen entrepreneurial spirit, they’ve launched publishing company Tree Vibez Music and their own emoji app, FGLmoji. Following the introduction of their Old Camp Pecan Whiskey, their premiere restaurant and entertainment destination FGL HOUSE, a four-story attraction with the largest “Cruise” rooftop Nashville has to offer, is now open.

About Emily West
Waterloo, Iowa native, Emily West, moved to Nashville at the age of 18, where she honed her songwriting and performance skills in the local clubs. Soon after arriving, West landed a publishing and record label deal, releasing three country singles. She was nominated with duet partner Keith Urban for the Academy of Country Music Awards in the category of “Vocal Event of the Year” for their song “Blue Sky.”
Driven by her love and fear of New York City, West got on a plane, got lost on the subway, and found herself auditioning for America’s Got Talent. As a finalist on Season 9 (2014), West won crowds over, including AGT judge Howard Stern, with re-imagined versions of songs like the “Moody Blues’”, “Nights in White Satin” and Sia’s hit “Chandelier.” Her mentor and idol, Cyndi Lauper, whom she met during an episode of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice, appeared with her on the AGT finale.
Following AGT, West signed with Sony Music Masterworks’ Portrait imprint.  Her debut album “All For You”, features three original songs co-written by West including “Bitter”, which has charted in the Top 30 on AC radio, with its music video premiering on Yahoo Music. RollingStone.com raved that “’Bitter’… swells and soars thanks to West’s impassioned vocals. Heartbreak has never sounded quite this uplifting.” “All For You” also includes a stunning duet with Lauper of “True Colors” and unique covers of “Without You” (David Guetta & Usher), “You Got It” (Roy Orbison) and the songs that made her popular on AGT.
West started 2015 with a bang, releasing a video collaboration with YouTube series Postmodern Jukebox where she performed a Roy Orbison inspired version of Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “Only One”. Shortly thereafter, she was invited to open for comic legend Jay Leno on his national tour and continues to do so today.
In April, West launched her one woman-show with a multi-city residency tour in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Chicago.  She won over audiences with her soul-bearing vocals, captivating personality and guest appearances from the likes of music icon David Foster, pop artist Who is Fancy and legendary songwriter and producer, Mark Hudson. West was recently featured as one of the “Women of Gravitas” for the fashion brand, Project Gravitas, who premiered their “Emily Skirt” inspired by the artist.  A portion of the proceeds from the skirt benefitted the Education through Music Foundation.
West has shared the stage with Lauper at her annual Home For The Holidays benefit concert in New York, co-hosted the red carpet at the first American Country Countdown Awards in Nashville and the featured vocalist at an HRC Gala in Las Vegas honoring Rob Reiner. She has performed the National Anthem across the country at major sporting events for the NHL, MLB, NBA, WNBA and the Kentucky Derby.
In 2017, West will debut her symphony show American One Night Stand(ards) appearing at Performing Arts Centers and with Symphonies across the country.

About Kenny Rogers
Kenny Rogers began recording in the late 1950s, notching a local hit in the Houston, TX market with “That Crazy Feeling” that resulted in a national TV appearance on “American Bandstand.” After stints with the jazz group the Bobby Doyle Three and folk favorite The New Christy Minstrels, Rogers formed The First Edition in 1967. As the lead singer of the group, Rogers sang on the band’s biggest hits, such as “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)” and “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town.” The group, who hosted their own syndicated television series, “Rollin’”, stayed together through 1975.

In 1976, Rogers signed a deal in Nashville with United Artists. With the help of producer Larry Butler, Rogers released “Lucille” in early 1977, his first No. 1 hit. The singer would tally many classics through the decade, including “Love Or Something Like It,” “Sweet Music Man,” “The Gambler,” and “Every Time Two Fools Collide,” which he recorded with the late Dottie West. Rogers was named Male Vocalist of the Year by both the CMA and the ACM, being also recognized as Entertainer of the Year by the latter in 1979.

In 1980, Rogers made musical history with his cross-over success of “Lady.” The Lionel Richie composition netted the singer a hit in the Country, Pop, AC, and R&B fields. The album from which the song was pulled, Kenny Rogers’ Greatest Hits, was certified Diamond for sales of over ten million units. In the 1980s, he stayed on top of the charts with hits like “I Don’t Need You,” “We’ve Got Tonight,” and “Morning Desire,” and sang on the GRAMMY® winning USA For Africa charity single, “We Are The World,” joined by an unprecedented number of music legends. He also established a successful career as an actor – with roles in The Gambler movie series – and as a photographer, with several published books of photos to his credit, including “This Is My Country.”

Rogers has sold over 120 million albums worldwide during his career, making him one of the best-selling male artists of all-time according to the RIAA, with twenty Platinum albums and eleven Gold. He has won awards from every organization imaginable, including multiple GRAMMY® Awards, as well as CMA, ACM, CMT, TNN, Music City News, and American Music Awards. In 2012, Rogers released his successful memoir, “Luck or Something Like It” and became a New York Times Best-Selling Author. In the fall of 2013, Rogers was bestowed with his biggest honor, being inducted as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. He continues to endear himself to audiences through his timeless music, and appearances on television – including a well-received Geico commercial in 2015.

In the fall of 2015, Kenny Rogers made headlines with the announcement that he would soon embark on a farewell tour – after one of the most successful and iconic careers in the history of show business. The spring of 2016 saw the singer begin that process with his “The Gambler’s Last Deal” Final World Tour, saying goodbye to his loyal legion of fans one city and one night at a time in what has been a critically-acclaimed night of music and memories.
