While making media appearances in New York City, Arista Nashville’s The Swon Brothers received a surprise dinner invitation from The Voice’s newly crowned season seven winner, Craig Wayne Boyd. The Swons, likewise veterans of The Voice and Team Blake, grabbed a bite with Boyd at New York’s Bond 45, where fans were delighted to spot the stars and get a few photo opps of their own.
Big Spark Music Group powerhouse vocalist-songstress Olivia Lane is kicking off 2015 with a bang, as she will open for five-time Grammy award winnerWynonna Judd and her band The Big Noise, at the New Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO. Tickets for the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve (12/31) event are selling fast, with $100 general admission tickets still available, along with $250 admission for balcony seating. City Winery, the unique 300-seat music venue with locations in NY, Chicago, Napa and Nashville, has announced today a major innovation with its mobile ticketing program. The “luxury concert venue,” founded by Knitting Factory founder Michael Dorf, released the “seat-picking” system when it launched its own proprietary ticketing platform in 2008. Since then, the company has experienced tremendous growth in sales with upwards of 300,000 tickets selling a year and 90% of the 300-seat shows selling out on a monthly basis—all tickets sold through their own website.
Reigning ACM Vocal Group of the Year, THE BAND PERRY, has unveiled the new video for their Grammy-nominated rendition of “Gentle On My Mind,” their current single and the lead track from the soundtrack to the James Keach-directed documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.
Country music sensation Granger Smith swept the nation and reached hundreds of thousands this fall with his headlining tour “YEE YEE NATION 2014.” Smith moves into the second leg of the tour with the launch of “YEE YEE NATION: PART II,” bringing his high-energy and raved about live shows to the west coast in early 2015. Smith, the hottest independent act in country music, officially kicks off the tour Thursday, Feb. 5 in Tucson, AZ and routes through numerous cities in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Montanta, Idaho, Utah and Colorado throughout its run. Platinum-selling Country star Dustin Lynch took time out of his busy touring schedule Monday night to give back to his hometown. The Tullahoma High School alum performed a sold-out benefit show for over 700 folks at the school’s auditorium to raise money for local community charity, Karing For Kids.
