Leah Turner Shows Off Her Country Roots with CMT World Premiere of New Video “Cowboy’s Love”

image

Vocal powerhouse and skilled songstress Leah Turner will world premiere her new video for “Cowboy’s Love” exclusively on CMT.com, CMT Pure and CMT Mobile today, Friday, November 20th. Inspired by her California Country upbringing, the video is set on a ranch operated by her father’s roping partner.

Click HERE to view the video exclusively on CMT.com.

Turner, a songwriter for Warner/Chappell Music, has spent the last year writing and recording new music with a fresh spin that she is now ready to share with the world. Her new tune, “Cowboy’s Love” was co-written by Leah, Niko Moon (co-wrote and co-produced all of Zac Brown’s Zekyll and Hyde record) and Grammy Award-winning writer, Tim Nichols (“Live Like You Were Dying” Tim Mcgraw, “Heads Carolina, Tails California” Jodee Messina, “Cowboys and Angels” Dustin Lynch, “I Got the Boy” Jana Kramer).

Turner explains: “The story behind ‘Cowboy’s Love’ and why it is dear to me is because I was raised by a Cowboy, and a little girls first love is her father .. I learned how to love and how to be loved. The ‘Cowboy’s Love’ is really an analogy of a man that stands beside you, is tough and strong but knows how to be tender and love his woman…that’s how I saw my father love my mother. Strong…Tender… and makes you feel safe… He can carry the world!”

Leah celebrated the forthcoming release of “Cowboy’s Love” earlier last week in an intimate setting at the Warner/Chappell offices on Music Row. She credits her father, a championship header in the rodeo, and grandfather who both made a living as cowboys and taught her firsthand, the lifestyle of a cowboy. “Cowboy’s Love” was directed by Michael Maples with Crown Pointe Productions and produced by This Music and Back Home Management.

A California native, Turner is no stranger to success having already released two singles for Columbia Records Nashville. Her debut single, “Take The Keys” reached Top 40 on the Billboard Country Airplay Charts. The success of the song led her to open up for famed country star, Brad Paisley on his Country Nation Tour in 2014 and Taste of Country named her #1 Female to Watch. “Cowboy’s Love” is available on iTunes and you can get behind- the-scene details of her music video from Country Weekly.
